I never bought the DLC for some reason but I did complete the game straight through twice on the PC and once on the Xbox. It's really a great game.

I never got round to getting fallout 3, cant help feeling im missing out.
I just have too many unfinished games and not enough time for another one.
Its definitely one i plan to get in the future.

Biggest thread in the games forum, your missing out tbh :p

F3 is amazing, you are missing out. Definitely one of my favourite games ever. It's only €15 as VenomIreland says on amazon - free delivery if you buy a few things. I got the GOTY for the expansions recently, but I have nothing to run it at the moment. :(

Yeah i think it was, i recall comparing prices during the sale for GOTY edition.

Just wondering how big the game is, does it offer any replayability?
Also does the DLC that comes with GOTY edition add much?

There is a decent amount of replayability, especially on PC with mods.

My favourite DLC's would be Broken Steel and Point Lookout, they felt to be the best.

the point lookout dlc is about half the size of the original game itself, it's huge and there's so many areas to explore in it.. the other dlc's are fun enough (except for the alien one, which got bloody annoying about halfway through)

Oh, and if you need any help with mods, don't forget to ask me. I've been using FWE for a good few weeks now and through my own problems I've learnt how to fix others :)

One final thing, use the FOMM (Fallout Mod Manager) to sort your DLC and Mods into the right order.

Speaking of mods, FWE 5.1 and MMM RC6 are nearing a release!

    http://www.1up.com/news/bethesda-announces-fallout-vegas-collector
Like most highly-anticpated new releases, Fallout New Vegas will be getting its very own Limited Collector's Edition (above). The version packed with bonuses will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. Bethesda announced the extras included today, and we're definitely noticing a gambling theme.

The package will include seven "Lucky 7" poker chips, which in the game represent the major casinos found in the wasteland. A special "Lucky 38" platinum chip will also be included, which seems to have some story significance. The gambling items are rounded out by a custom deck of New Vegas cards, with its own characters. The press release teases that players can use them to play traditional card games, or Caravan, which was created for New Vegas. Other, more traditional CE bonuses include a hardcover graphic novel from Dark Horse comics, and a documentary DVD with making-of features.

"We're offering this very cool collector's edition to give fans the opportunity to own some of the items that they'll discover while playing Fallout: New Vegas," said marketing VP Pete Hines in the press release. "We are also expanding their experience with the game by including a top-notch graphic novel worthy of the Fallout name and a DVD that gives them a behind-the-scenes look at how the game was created."

The press release doesn't shed any new light on the release date, or mention a price for the Collector's Edition. These bonuses usually tend to hit around $10-20 above the regular version of the game, so you can probably plan on this one being in the $70-80 range. On the bright side, you can break out your chips and playing cards and win all that money back, if you're lucky.

Anyone gonna pick up the Collectors Edition of NV? Or even know where to get it? I'm very tempted, I must say.

I really hope it's a new game - it'd really suck if it was an expansion pack.
