I'd take the NCT kg with a grain of salt, a car I had was 200kg heavier on one scales then another an hour later :)

Parkers says it's 1400kg, and should get 36mpg
Looks like the 200 kg seems to be the standard NCT overestimation then! (perhaps its partially accounted for by the weight of fuel and other fluids)

As I said, I am going to do an accurate MPG check next time I fill her up. I may be underestimating the MPG/consumption as Im only going on rough figures

    Averages out around 39-41 mpg.
    Audi a3 1.6
    .
That is mainly motorway driving but in rush hour traffic so quite a bit of stopping and starting still. I use redex now and again and think it helps keep the mpg up but maybe it's all in my head.

Always fill up to brim and reset. Once it reaches about 400 miles, fill it up again and calculate how much gallons it needed for those 400 miles.

Think that's the right way to do it:confused:

'00 Opel Vectra 1.6 petrol. 42mpg - mostly out of town driving.

Previous car was a '94 Volvo 850 estate 2.4 auto. 27mpg for much the same use (one of the reasons I eventually traded it in for the Vec).

Thats shocking stats for a car of that size! My 2.0l TFSI gives me close to 33 mpg and I wouldn't have the lightest foot around.

Whats this 'light' foot you talk about? :D

Update, have discovered 'lead foot' and mpg on Saab 9-3 150Tid Estate, now mooching along at 47mpg -ish.

31-34 mpg urban, a light foot doesn't really make a difference, might bring it to 36 which isn't worth the hassle.

38-40 motorway although I haven't really given it a good bash so It could be more.

Last tank - 770km from 55.05 Litres (Empty to full)

Works out at 7.1L/100km or 39.51MPG.

2005 Honda Accord 2.0i VTEC - 85% (ish) motorway or good, straight N Road.

Worst I've seen on the same journey is around 7.7L/100km or 36.63mpg, but hasn't been that bad since they opened all the lanes on the M50.

    Dublin-Dingle-Dublin so about 510 miles.
    Approx 36-38mpg in Peugeot 406 1.8L petrol.
Was fairly empty when I filled the tank for E80.

Could not quiet manage it on a full tank even easing off near the end. Not too much traffic so mainly a mix of 50:50 motorway & national roads.

I normally just do urban driving so never calculate as would too low.

75 mpg on the motorway (at ~100km/h)
    65 mpg on N roads
    52 mpg around town

Averaging 62 mpg which is probably two thirds urban.

    Civic 1.3 IMA

I dont bring it out much, but when i do i keep her lit. Nothing too mad, a bit of sideways action, you know your self. I am pretty happy with 18mpg, I would not be however if i drove it every day.
Figured out the mpg on my Delta HF yesterday. 22mpg, not bad for an old road going rally car.
