My babies: 452 Style and 452 Varmit.
Varmit topped with a Leupold VXIII
Style topped with a Simmons & harris bipod underneath.
The last pic is my AW93.......underneath is a cushion!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,057 ✭✭✭civdef

    underneath is a cushion!

Why did you make your cushions out of a sandbag? :)

Nice pistol, what does the grip look like on the other side? I've only ever seen pics from that side.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 162 ✭✭Vinniew

kinda flat and ugly as targrt grips are! Will post a pic later.

    My three:

    .223 is mounted on a Harris bipod (9" - 13") with a 10 - 40 x 50 Atlas scope.

Pumpy is just pumpy. I have since put a titanium multi choke tube on it to save time.

    .22LR is mounted on a Harris bipod (9" - 13") with a 4 - 12 x 40 Atlas scope with a moderator.

edit: photo removed at maglite's request
My new babies,,Cz sihullete, hawke niteeye 6.5-20x50 IR

word to the wise shop around the prices for the Cz ranged from 399- 450
    and the scope 195-260

Dearest prices were jeffers in bandon every thing i priced there was way over RRP, but when i rang ardee to enquire about the RRP i was given a bogus price,,,,,not happy with that at all!!!

o and if your interested in the scope the price list has an error it's marked at 5-20,, great baraining tool when you ask for price and he goes to a corner to read the price list
cut his price by €35 on the spot...

Sweet lookin job Maglite;) , are those high mounts necessary to give the scope clearance?

There seems to be more than just 452's posted here, anyone object if I sticky this and re-label it as a "Reader's Guns" thread?

    I say: go for it.

But might it be an idea to ask people to keep the inevitable discussion of particular guns on topic, and try and keep this thread to mostly pictures?

From the "OK, now what?" files.

    Anyone got a manual?

    parts.JPG

Let's see.. insert pin (a) into hole (b)...

(Seriously, I've not got a manual. Now I've got the thing, I have to figure out how to put it together...)

Then I can really relive my FCA glory days: I just put down money on a BAP.

Hmmmm. Y'know Manic, when the safety rules say you should store your rifle disassembled and only assemble it when you're at the range, they generally just mean to take off the sights and take out the bolt...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,393 ✭✭✭✭Vegeta

its like one of those 3d puzzles.

try doing a search on the net for a manual i suppose

Yes, just make sure not to end up with something like this:

    ohdear.jpg
    ohdear2.jpg

I found that on an auction site. I somehow doubt the seller knew how to assemble it correctly. Hope he didn't try it out. ;)

This is proving easier than I thought. Thanks to Claregunner, who put on onto an online manual, and a little logical thinking ("OK, now how exactly is this thing supposed to do what it does?"), I've got most of it put together. Come to a screeching halt on the return spring, barrel and extractor, though. Going to have to borrow a friend's tools, methinks. Means I also have left to do the gas system.

Might be done some point next week: Army has me this weekend.

An interesting build. Easier than I thought, but only because my father-in-law has a lathe. I had to hammer the locking shoulder into submission though, which is a little undignified.
