It all goes to SD automatically once downloaded and installed fully....leaves 72KB on internal memory (68KB app and 4KB data in my case so far).

    Thanks, I'll get it so!

The mouse lite app is great. It turns your phone into a remote control, so you can control your pc or laptop over a wi fi connection. The full version costs something like €2 and will let you control more like itunes, windows player, and powerpoint from your phone.

Teamviewer is free and arguably significantly more powerful.

    Try Unified Remote.

This is seriously so cool. I never knew there were remotes available for these phones.

Anyone try out the new Swiftkey 3 Beta yet?

Think it's in closed beta testing but you can download the apk here. Link provided by XDA Forums.

Best keyboard on the market I think.

Better than SWYPE? How? I'm genuinely interested as I've tried loads of keyboards including Swiftkey (previous versions) and I keep reverting to SWYPE.

It's all about personal preference I suppose. If you like swype stick to it. I didn't really like the swiping cause I used to forget where a letter was and it used to take me a while then to scan the keyboard before I could swype again :). I flies away with this keyboard because a lot of the time it remembers what words you use in combination with other words so the longer you use it the better it gets. That's just me though. Everyone to their own ;)

Yeah I'm the same, I like Swiftkey. I tried Swype and although I really did like it, i found it annoying for the times when you had to put in something different that it did not know etc. Perhaps I'm wrong but I think most people have tried Swype but few from what I can see stick with it in the long run. This new Swiftkey looks great as it solves some of the problems I find annoying like spaces and punctuation.

Fun game. You think of a real of fictional person and then answer questions and it's nearly always right. Worth the €1.59 although I'm easily amused!

the only problem i find with swype is that if ive been texting for a while and then go back to using my laptop it kind of disorientates me for a few seconds!!! :D

any plans to introduce a laptop with swype?

I'll second that. I've championed both Swype and Swiftkey many times, and have spent lots of time using both. But I too always came back to Swiftkey in the end mostly due to the hassle of having to continuously enter words that Swype didn't understand.

In the end I bought the full version version of Swiftkey on offer for 10 cents and I can honestly say it's one of the best 10 cent purchases I've ever made in my life! (True, my first Chomp bar was pretty awesome, but it didn't last nearly as long!)

Been using Swiftkey since the 10c sale and I must say it has nearly (not quite) convinced me that soft keyboards are okay (but I would prefer a good qwerty board tbh).

Just downloaded the beta linked above, I'll see how that goes for a while...

That's odd. I downloaded it on Friday night no problems.

Search for 'Akinator' in the Play Store and it should come up.

The first time you type a word that Swype doesn't understand you click the word and then add to dictionary. From then on it's swipable. My vocabulary isn't big enough for this to be needed to be done very often.

I think the dictionary must be backed up automatically. I formatted my phone last week and I've just checked the personal dictionary while typing this post and there must be a couple of hundred in there (mainly names) that are relevant to me.

Using the new Swiftkey beta and I really like the way it can work out misses spaces as I'm always doing that, but I really really do not like how they have removed the seperate punctuation marks for full stop, comma and questions mark, and replaced with a push, hold and slide. It just takes longer and seems like its slowing me down. Very annoying. Also for me the heptic feedback does not work, not sure why. I also cannot find the setting to decrease the time of the long press response. Gone back to the old one for now. Pity I really liked the space correction.

I agree with you totally about the punctuation, very annoying! The haptic feedback default value is very low at 10ms and thus can hardly be felt. I doubled it to 20ms in the settings and can feel it now.

    Cheers,
    M

Does anyone have access to their restricted forum? Would be interesting to see if others are seeing the same. Although seems unlikely that they'll change this at this late stage. If they gave an option to turn on and off the swypy thing that would be ok.

Is it just me or are some settings missing from this compared to the last one?

Paul O'Brien (http://www.modaco.com/) said the same thing about the punctuation, and I agree... Fingers crossed that they'll fix it...

    Fúck Sony's Wisepilot.

Update had it going from 2mb to about 17MB of internal phone memory and I can't delete the fkn thing. Can't put it on SD either.

Have to keep uninstalling the update as I'm out of phone memory.

Time to learn about root and delete it from the system folder.

Either root your phone and remove it(Model? Its a 1 click process with some) or just turn off automatic updates for it, then it cant continually update itself.

Is there any particular browser that's recognised as being better than the others? I have ICS, currently using Chrome, but I find the text wrap much better in Opera so might go back to it.
