How did you find out those guys were playing Vicar St?

I want to see Jamie Cullum, and I would have guessed his venue would be Vicar St. but now I'm not so sure!!

I took a chance on Vicar St - and it paid off. Although after I booked them, I noticed it was listed on Ticketmaster.

I would never have thought Jamie Cullum would have been in Tripod. I hope you get tickets.

Where did you see it listed on ticketmaster? EDIT: forget it, just saw the acts for the four main venues listed on the event page on ticketmaster.

I'm trying to figure out where to see Noah and the Whale. Seriously, what's with the lucky dip?? Are people actually buying tickets to random pub gigs like?! Load of rubbish.

would have loved to hit one of these gigs, think it's a fantastic idea, very very varied lineups, 20 min sets, and then the Pub lottery of not knowing who's playing till you get there is another cool idea, these gigs will be great craic....pity I'm heading away that afternoon...

The Whelans lineup is very strong in my opionion, lucky people that got those tickets....

Im ragin' over this....mad to see Kasabian but I guess its not gonna happen now if its competition winners etc only

Cant seem to see any details anywhere on how to win though!!

I entered in a pub - they have these posters where you put your signature in a line, text a number to Guinness & go in a draw. Total pot luck - only 50 winners from that. Reckon the rest will be gone to VIPs etc.

Re the pubs - could be that the Village will have some of the Whelans bands given that they're next door.... I got tickets to Stags head cos that one's on the ad..... not sure about my logic really. Should be good wherever you end up that day.

I got 2 tickets to the church, sounded good idea.
    1) Atrthur was married there
    2) Nice and easy to get to
    3) Good atmosphere
    4) Not too pricey
    5) Sells good Guinness!

If anyone knows how I can get to the V.I.P gig, let me know! LOL (Hey if you don't ask, you don't get!)

Hope not ... decided to opt for the Market Bar when they went on sale.
Now, if Bridie Gallagher turned up then that would be class ;-)

How reliable is your source chief? :)
I'd kill to be at that if its true...

There was a line on the Independents website (im nearly sure this was where I saw it) around the time of Slane that Noel was due to play an acoustic gig in Dublin in December....anyone heard anything about that?
