Looking great so far, really liking it, very happy with the addition of the breadcrumbs to the top menu

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

very happy with the addition of the breadcrumbs to the top menu
    + 1

And I thought things couldn't get any better when the "category > forum" links were added to the bottom of the page!

Another thing I've noticed, incredibly minor this time. The asterix beside a forum name in the subbed list, indicating a new post (or so it seems to), doesn't refresh on page load and will sometimes show a forum as having new posts when there are none.

Still really liking the new look though!

Actually scratch that - the forum had a new post but the thread wasn't bold.

Loving the new menu, good work! :)

is there a chance you could make the menu navigable by way of the arrow keys. you move the mouse slightly after navigating through to sub menus and the whole lot disappears and you have to start again.

    navigating through to sub menus
Sub-menus? Are you sure you have the new menu enabled? ;)

    I like it.

    I like it.
    Nice understatement (for me)

I love it. It's the business. Particularly like the instant notifications.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,518 ✭✭✭matrim

I've only taken a quick look and it does look nice.

The only thing is what will it look like under different themes, i.e. I normally use the black theme so will you be making it follow theme colours?

Couldn't tell you. haven't noticed any change in the menu. is it theme specific? am using the Cloud theme.

Am I right in saying that if you get a PM while a page is already loaded, some Ajax thing gets going and the envelope icon starts flashing?? Thats pretty mad!

If this was the case though I think some increased notification might help. I wouldny generally notice the small envelope icon.

As Dav says, "madder than a bag of cats". :D

The AJAX thing kicks off every 20 seconds or so and checks for new PMs and new posts in your subscribed threads (that's what the little page icon is).

Noted, we'll take that into consideration in the next round of changes.

The breadcrumbs seem to have dissapeared from the menu for me?

I have them selected in menu preferences.

Firefox updated the other day, something to do with that maybe?

Gone for me also for last few days on several computers:
Vista ultimate x64 & Google chrome
    Vista buisness & IE7
    Macbook pro & safari 4

Really liked that feature combined with locking the bar at top of screen so was always there as you scrolled:(

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
