    Man jailed for multiple rape offences

    10/10/08

    A man has been jailed for twelve years for the repeated rape of a young girl over a five year period.

    Anthony Daly, from Dun Laoghaire, County Dublin had pleaded guilty to raping a young girl, now 17 years old. He started raping his victim just weeks before her seventh birthday and continued abusing her on a regular basis over the following five years. The girl was too afraid to speak out until 2006 when she missed her period.

    Daly, a former bus driver at a girls' school, initially denied the allegations, saying they were "utter lies." But he changed his plea to guilty on the morning of his trail last July.

    The court heard that the separated father of one suffers from depression and arthritis and has had a number of minor strokes. His counsel apologised on his behalf saying that the guilt and shame will live with him.

    Mr Justice Barry White said Anthony Daly was guilty of an appalling breach of trust towards an innocent girl over a protracted period of time. He said he was taking into account his physical and mental ill-health and his plea of guilty which came at the 11th hour, but spared his victim giving evidence. Mr Justice White sentenced the 64-year-old to 15 years for three counts of rape and 5 years for sexually assaulting the girl, all to run concurrently.




    The guilt and shame didn't live with him for the 10 years he was going about his life as normal after tormenting the poor girl for life. 12 years is not enough!!:mad:

    YES, your wonderful and enlightening example is of something inhuman, and YES whoever did such a thing should be severely punished to the full extent of the law. And, yes, yes YES this guy is a scumbag who deserves to rot in jail...

    We are, however, gaining nothing by reiterating this, and phrasing it in different ways, and **** on about all the horrific, unspeakable, inhuman and violent things we think should happen to this raping monster of doom. This hasn't exactly happened yet..but it happens here regularly, and these threads just becoming talking shops for people to ramble on about their violent fantasies and demonstrate a complete inability to accept a legal system of punishment... That, I believe, is what Karoma may have had in mind...

    But I could be wrong, I was half distracted by drawing up the plans for a machine that would crush apart this sick ****er's testicles and replace them with his eyeballs and put grenades in his ears and shoot his granny.
