The total for H2UPA is 7.2 mbit down/2 mbit up and that's to be shared with all users within the same cell.

So right now you're kindda monopolizing it.

Wait until more people are around and actively using it and you'd get less. But it's nice enough to see, that they've started deploying it.

Doesn't change the fact, that it isn't a broadband replacement. Especially latency is crummy.

This is 2 meg fixed wireless at home: 386491557.png

Latency can be as far down as 15 ms, usually max at around 60 ms. And i've got internet radio and a few other bits running in the background, which aren't accounted for.

That kindda latency you won't get from mobile internet offerings.

It's bad! If you're on the 1mb package then it is ok but your ping is very high and your upload is very low... I'd suggest upgrading ;)

    In my pops house atm.

Thats down from 20 Mb UPC, I am litterally suffering withdrawal !!!

While I was doing that speedtest, and this is no word of a lie or joke, it was going at 2 kbps ( not KBps) kbps. I nearly cried. Any suggestions as to what I can try to improve the up speed. Line attenuation is the following 15/8 dB .

Mine is in my sig :)

    *EDIT*

This is a 12 mb connection with magnet as you can see. I also get my TV for about 50 a month. I think it is a special for the first two months, then you get charged 70 or that, or you can revert to an 8 MB connection. This is in sandyford. I know someone in carlow that uses it and they are extremely happy with it too.

Is this the one and only reliable ISP? I hope others follow their ways.
