Did this a bit arseways :pac:

    Front Squat Jerk Combo
    2s and 1s or 1s and 2s
up to 100 for some singles just because

    Jumps
    3 x 5
    many attempted doubles

    fell off a box.

    Weighted Hypers
    5 x 10

    Rev Hypers
    5 x 10

    Facepulls
    5 x 12

I didn't want to try lift on my own because i'm ****, so i did the above just to do something.

Rolled, sat down for 10 mins and had a shake.

    Warmed up again

    Snatch
    bar x many
    40kg x many
    50kg x a few
    60kg x a few
    65kg x a few
70kg x 2 singles, then failed 2 so went back down

40kg x fell on my arse.
    40kg x a few
    50kg x a few
    60kg x what felt like a million singles. 10 i suppose.

tried to put on more weight but it was taken off. :o

    My hands hurt.

Does the most powerful man count as a comp or do you have to do a fancy pants Oly meet?
    Or both?

Also, in the name of swole, Could you not throw an odd sneaky max effort bench when Nobody is looking?

I'm sick of benching, i havn't trained it since before christmas, i reckon i'll always be able to do 140 regardless. I'll keep benhing the odd time probably.

My tricep strength is gone to crap so close grip a bit.

If i'm going to mediocre at something i might aswell be mediocre at something fun.

Plus, squatting more than twice a week is illegal in powerlifting land.

There's some sort of misconception around here that i was following C&P.

I wasn't, i had an idea of %s and rep ranges and then i went by how i felt on the day (which, especially with high frequency idiocy is much smarter than saying i have to hit this becasue some template told me to, or conversely not going for it on a set when you feel great because the piece of paper in your hand tells you not to). And i also ocassionally lose the plot.

It could be the thread title, or it could be the fact that the C&P guy advocates basically what you have just described more often than he advocates his "programme"

Or it could just be I am the only guy who mentions C&P and you listen to me because you loooooove me.

He doesn't he advocates destroying himself as much as possible regardless of how he feels with no real thought to his exercise selection.

I don't actually read his blog very often i think he's a tool!

    Course he is a tool.
That's like a prerequisite for being listened to in internet strength land.
    Wendler: Tool
    Rippetoe: Tool
    De Franco: Tool
    etc.

Funnily enough, I found out about him from your recommendation.....:D

    Today

    Much guff with the bar

    Snatch
    40kg x many doubles
    50kg x many doubles
60kg x many doubles and singles
    65kg x some singles

    Powerclean
    40kg x many doubles
    60kg x many doubles
    70kg x a few

Was suggested i should just get under the bar and stop fapping about
One First Pull One Clean and Power Jerk
    70kg x many
    70kg x many doubles
    80kg x some doubles
    85kg x a few
    90kg x 2
95kg x all went horribly wrong, huge amount of pull caught it very high
    95kg x 1 nice
100kg x basically didn't do anything i'd been doing right, right (worst sentence ever)

So i suppose that can be my technical max. it was piss though.

Cleans are mad, i've never caught anything below a 9/10th squat before.
It's mental how easy they are even just doing a couple of things kind of right. Pretty weird though, it's kind of like doo dee doo nice controlled squeeze off the ground up past the knees and all of a sudden you're in a front squat. Mental.

Went for some lunch, coffee, some attempt at course work, Then

Some more guff with the bar

    Front Squats
    bar 2 x 5
    40kg x 5
    60kg x 5
    80kg x 3
    90kg x 1
100kg x a total of 50 reps, then i got given out to like a bold child for about 10 minutes so i stopped.

    First Pull
    **** all weight x some

    Abz
    3 sets

    Gunz
    3 sets

Good man, who are you and what do YOU know??

What bearing does being knowledgeable on a subject have on somebody being perceived as a tool?

    This morning

    Snatch

    Clean

    Ugh.

    I cant even type.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,333 ✭✭✭✭itsallaboutheL

Earlier was basically Snatch doubles, 3 x 2s at some different weights

Cleaned 80 for many many singles. Some of which apparently looked okay. My quads were having none of it.

I think my knees are made out of sand.

It was much too early and i was fairly sore from those stupid front squats yesterday.
