3.4°C here, hope its more interesting by dawn!

And down near coast, its almost an air frost.

Its the wind direction that's interesting this evening. At 4pm, it was from north and since its backed all the way to SE and during past few minutes, veered back to SW and now there is a mad rise in temp.
up 1C in about 3 minutes.

Last night, the temp dipped in and out of air frost terrortitory about 5 times.

    Currently 1.4C and rising fast.

3.7°C here now, curious stuff. I thought I'd be seeing a -3 or more tonight, need to examine tonight's charts tomorrow and understand it.

It was down below freezing here for a while just after 5pm, but it's been rising ever since and is now up to 1.8C, most of the frost and ice from last night and earlier this evening is now gone.

It's perfectly clear however there is a slight 2-3 km/h breeze, like Longfield I expected to see a lot lower tonight, strange indeed!

Just had a light snow shower on top of the ice. Looks like a skatin rink outside.

Extremely warm for an early January night. About 11 degrees outside, in Rathgar. A bit of light drizzle falling aswell. It made for a nice and refreshing walk.

I'm also told the frost in Louth yesterday morning was quite sharp.

Temps slowly backing down from last nights spectacular rise, scraped a 10.5c at one point. Now a more modest 7.3c.

A lot of road flooding after last nights rain, which it is still doing right now, with varying intensity.

    985.5 falling.

    Wet windy mild.
Mean speed since midnight above 25mph.
    Max gust 49mph.
    10.5C after a max of 11.3C
    18mm since 3pm

No doubt this is going to be my wettest Jan on record.

87mm so far, 114mm to beat.

Dry here with a temp of 7.1c, mild compared to the last few days. So far this Jan I was getting below mean temps, I would expect this to rise in the next few days. Already Jan for me is now 0.2c above normal.

Christ will we ever get some right weather at all..
