Athiests who celebrate Christmas are hyprocrites no matter what way they like to twist it.
It is not the government's job to deal with any drug problem.
    I'm always right.

I love Hollyoaks and think it is one of the best soaps on tv at the moment.
I hate that I am expected to bend over backwards and adapt my cultures and customs in my own country to please people who chose to move to this country while if I moved to their country I'd be expected to conform to their way of life regardless.
I think, for the most part, Irish people have a problem with alcohol and seem unable to socialise without getting sh1tfaced and that really irritates me.
I really doubt that the concept of global warming is indeed caused by mankind and our cars and that it is largely cyclical and would have happened anyway.

Actually after reading one of the posts above and having recently been to some countries where, in general, people drink very moderately, it's my opinion that Irish social life is better due to our over drinking(pubs, not niteclubs, they're meat markets, don't like 'em don't go).*

*I would like to see cafés serving alcohol a lot more to provide a civilised alternative too, though.

You lose. I didn't celebrate anything, I took the days off, sat around watching tv, eating chocolate and getting drunk.

Pighead doesn't feel the need to apologise. In Pigheads opinion you're not a great mod. Lovely fella but not a great mod. Poor mans Karoma/Terry or a rich mans Boston but not a great mod.

    Ooooh controversial!

(Am dictating this from behind my bullet proof sofa (in a quasi D4 accent) in case I get shot...)

I get irritated to death by Celebrity Jigs and Reels (a real Oirish tribute programme - what's wrong with dancing to traditional music?), people that think that Ireland ends at Blanchardstown (sometimes called Castleknock), the same people that seem to churn out the hogwash that portrays Ireland as some washed out muddled version of a modern European country.

No-one seems to want to know about the real things that make Ireland what it is, and in the rush to jump on the back of the now fading Celtic Tiger have lost some of that magic that Ireland had. And don't dare celebrate that magic in case the Tiger disappears altogether!

I would love to see real stories about real people, real dramas & stories that don't involve shiny people wearing Blahniks and not knowing what a piece of turf is - this gunge being pumped out drives me insane.

Although to be fair T4 has some great programmes ....

And in the rush for political correctness one is more likely to find the cultures of newly immigrant nations being celebrated ahead of the beautiful and unique Irish ones.

Anyway - I feel better now that I have unloaded that off my chest. I am off in my 4x4 to pick up the kids from the babysitters (she is a darling!), heading home to watch something crap on my big plasma screen while eating a takeaway. Oh, and must pick up some briquettes on the way home. :D

Pighead fears the end is nigh. Through the crack in the door he can see Giblet polishing his old trusty ban hammer. No reason or rhyme, just poor modding, one more time.

On topic, Pighead doesn't think Mary Harney is as useless and fat as most people seem to think she is.

Oh no, not poor modding. Let's just say I have this link handy.
How many times have you been banned and what's the upper limit? I seem to remember letting you off on the 4th ban.

Anyway enough of that "kindness gets you nowhere" talk. Kindness gets you everywhere buddy. Look at Jesus, Mother Theresa, The Dalai Lama and Ruu as examples of how far kindness can get you in this wonderful world.

They call themselves Muslims but completely ignore the Qu'aran.
Blowing up innocent people is hardly stipulated in Islam and doing so for the reward of 70 virgins and a palace sounds a lot more like being materialistic rather than worshipping Allah as they should.

Reminds Pighead of an old girlfriend he had back in 96 who was a bit lacking in the old trust department. Pighead left cosy comfortable Dundalk for a brave new wonderful college life over in Galway.

Miss Ex Piggy was in Dundalk and was simmering with rage as she knew her fella was a cracking looking guy and would undeniably be surrounded by a bevy of college babes. Anyway Pighead was out on the town one night in Taffes pub enjoying a cool refreshing pint of Harp and tapping his feet to the toe tapping band on show when out of nowhere Miss Ex Piggy turns up.

Turned out she'd been following Pighead for 2 hours trying to catch him "in the act" as it were. She started crying and apologised for being so untrustful and crazy. Pighead looked her in th eye and said "Don't worry babes, this has only brought us closer together, let us go home now and make sweet fully naked love in my hovel of a bedsit, lets leave right now" We did, and we did. Great night.

Would have waited til after the band were finished but Pigheads Galway girlfriend was in the jacks at the time and the last thing he wanted was to be sat there with Miss Ex Piggy when she came back. Sometimes you've just gotta cease the moment.

Anyway Giblet yeah, Pighead hears ya buddy. Happy New Year my friend.

That was where you fell down. GFCH and, if necessary, a plasma screen fire-effect wall adornment under the plasma screen telly is yer only man. None of that messy real fire nonsense. The maid hates cleaning the grate. The fireplace should be tastefully filled with a huge pillar candle or a dried flower arrangement.
