The Humvee is a military spec Hummer and you can't buy a new one for road use. The Hummer H1, H2 and H3 are based on the Humvee.

    Finally! It's defenitely a 40th anniversary model which means it's an 04.
It's been seen all over Dublin. My cousin saw it in Terenure last week.

The (50) 40th Anniversary cars were manufactured in 2003.

    Sorry, my mistake:o

Were there only 50? I saw one in New York in 2003. I didn't realise they were so rare.

Yes I brightened the photo and could see the aniversario badge.... very rary car. If it's northern reg then it's probably a guy called Jim Haughy or maybe his brother, he's only about 20/21, his dad Edward Haughy is a senator up north and collects exotic cars, has an XJ220 and everything. He has a place off Pembroke st. and use to drive a 01 Orange Diablo 6.0 VT with a black spoiler. Goes to UCD...... imagine being that age and having that car!

I've checked the registry and there's none yet listed in Ireland on it.

The father Lord (Dr.) Edward Enda Haughey (Baron Ballyedmond) was an Irish Senator and is now sits in the House of Lords on behalf of the Ulster Unionist Party (hmmm, sold out). Anyway, he's worth about €500M (Norbrook Laboratories) and lives in Killowen, near Rostrevor county down (within a mile of the site of the Kilbroney Classic Car show, incidently) in an estate surrounded by a huge brick wall. He has a big chopper (oh er, missus!) although a couple of his pilots were killed in a crash a few of years ago. His wife used to leave the kids off at school in Newry in a black Rolls Royce. I could go on...my cousin went to school with the sons. Never knew they had a taste in nice cars though.

The good Dr. is on the board of over 20 companies !

That green Lambo was on UK plates and left the Country about 2 weeks ago for the South of Spain where it currently resides !

    What green Lambo?

The 40th Anniversary Murcielago. They only came in jade green ("Verde Artemis").
It's a pearl effect paint job so the picture doesn't really show that it's green. In fact, in real life they don't look overtly green either...

How do you know this? My cousin said he saw it in Terenure last week. So unless there are two Murcielagos driving around Dublin...

I thought it was northern registered?

True but although it's called Verde Artemis it is a lot more blue than green because of the pearl effect. I love the colour!

I'm never going to see a Murcielago on Irish roads now:( I would have loved to have seen it.

Do you know whereabouts in Spain the car is?

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,753 ✭✭✭qz

Ok, remember the black Hartge M5 that was posted a while back (think it was AJ!), well I've found more (sexier) pics. I've even found the owner on M5 Board! There a few more Irish owners on the site as far as I can tell.

    This is funny. :D

Sorry for the off-topicness btw :o
