if i remember correctly, Jury's last year weren't allowing drinks to rooms to avoid obvious piss takes.

you couldnt even take them out of the bar. Security were strictish and it was either have a room key under your own name or say that you're a poker journalist called Roy the Boy and wing it.

I see a lucrative business selling cans in the carpark ;)

Just saw some rules/T&C that players may not be aware of for the Open..

Tables will start with 10 players and as players are knocked out they will
    revert to tables of 9.
There will be a redraw for seats at the end of day 2. There will also be a
redraw when play gets down to the last 2 tables, and again at the final
    table.

A player must be sitting at the table when the last card is dealt to take
    part in a hand.

Players may not ask for a change of deck

When a player is being moved from a table they will be the next on the big
blind and will go to the worst position at the new table

If a player is taking too much time to make a decision, another player
involved in the pot or the tournament director may ask for the clock. If
this happens, the player has 60 seconds to make a decision and after the 60
seconds the hand will be dead

yeah i'd noticed this, are these seat redraws common?i've never heard of this before.I've never needed to ask for a change of deck myself, but always felt it was reasonable to ask for reasons involving the physical condition of the cards as opposed to "those cards aint lucky for me".Any thoughts?

They didn't redraw for day 2 last year. Dealer noted seat position of button.
Took about half an hour to packup and sign for chips.:( Not that I had that many.

PS. Dont mind that Dave fella Danny, I reckon the Betfair King Shakedown is a cert for the final table this year. If you can stay out of the bar.;)

this happened after every day at the EPT aswell. i dont think its a bad rule as it gives shorter/bigger stacks chances to play different types of poker. it kind of makes it like a league as such where you nearly face everyone once, as such rather than a cup where your only at your own table and winner of that goes through etc (if the football analogy works i dont know?). it basically makes it fairer doesnt mean some people get a soft table for the duration etc...

The cheapest I heard of was for €2,800. There were some available a few weeks back but they're all snapped up at this stage I think.

    Hi Karl,

I see on the brochure that registratino closes at 2pm on Friday.

I'm almost certain that players will be able to register for the main event (draw their seat etc) on Thursday night but just wondering if you can confirm?

I don't really think I will be up for turning up two hours in advance of the expected kick off time on Friday so plan to register on Thursday.
