Rather than start up a whole new thread, I've merged the question above into the existing thread about circumcisions.

. I'm worried that sex, which was never that enjoyable before, will now be an agonising ordeal.

    .

If that were the case, you would have heard about before now. You're over-thinking it. Don't worry, you'll be fine.

plus it's fine - if not better than ever

just remember you won't be firing on all cylinders straight away - you may need to use a condom for a couple of weeks, plus the stimulation needed to orgasm will be a bit different than you're probably used to

that being said, the learning curve is great

Well lads, bit of a general question.. i had a Frenuloplasty in feb and it healed grand.. but whenever im in bed with herself i get very nervous and i cant get hard.. Now i know its because im worried about hurting myself and i really want it to happen. Has any of the lads on here had erection problems after their ops? Im considering going to to my doc and asking about Viagra.. Its very frustrating.. Any help is greatly appreciated.. not just the usual go see your physician..

Been little over two weeks since my op and swelling has gone down. Any tips on how to take a straight p*ss? Feel like I could p*ss around corners

6 weeks? Damn, thought once swelling went down it'd be good to go.

Man the week I start masturbating and standing up to p*ss will be one hell of a week :D

Okay, it will be five weeks this Wednesday since I had the operation. I have my check up the following Wednesday with the surgeon, to see if everything is fine. My stitches have dissolved, and I haven't gotten an infection, so I don't think things could have gone any better.

I haven't had sex or masturbated since before the operation, but now I'm very eager to do so. What's more, I'm seeing someone who is eager too. I know a week and a half is not that long, but I'm wondering

    (a) if it is safe to have sex now?
    (b) if it is safe to masturbate now?

Speaking to other guys, I know someone who orgasmed and ejaculated in his sleep after about three weeks. I'm pretty sure I could come from masturbation at least. Is this safe or unhealthy?

Another question. To get ready for when I do have sex, I tried on a condom. However, I found it incredibly difficult, and indeed had to do it a few times, to unroll the condom over more than my helmet. It kept getting stuck in the groove between my helmet and shaft. Has anyone has had this problem? Any tips on overcoming it? Particular ways of unrolling it, or condom brands?

well i was told 30 days afterwards but hit a solo performance 3 weeks in which came with some relief

As for sex, I was at 5 weeks before trying it because an infection had set healing back a bit and it was fine, the doc did recommend a condom for the first couple of weeks, but it was more for security than anything

if you're healed, there shouldn't be any problem, though you'll need some lube. The other thing to remember, 6 weeks is time for most of the healing to have finished, but don't be surprised if after sex you get a slight bit of puffiness or swelling (not the good kind :D) for a couple of weeks - there is still healing going on, and if my wife is to be believed (she's a doc), it'll be on-going for a couple of months, but ok to use normally.

    Hi guys,
I am moving back to Ireland in a few weeks and I defo need the wee man snipped. As I don't have health insurance in Ireland, I will have to pay for it myself. Does anyone know how much it costs roughly. I heard up on €5000 but that sounds a bit much. Any info would be great, thanks..

Yesterday was 4 weeks since the op, so I gave masturbating a try.

    I badly needed that

    Day after the OP
God bless this thread and its authors.
Having very similar experiences to others and have nothing really further to add yet at this stage.
The lad is still bandaged up from the hospital and I was told to leave it for 24 to 48 hours post op before removing it.
Can see the top of my head for the first time :-) although it looks like a car crash under there.
Only trouble I'm having so far is a bit of pee leaking and making the opening of the bandage a bit wet.
Had morning glory several times this morning but pain isn't all that bad.
Felt absolutely nothing during the OP and afterwards , I want to praise the brilliant staff and nurses and beaumont,,,and the people who've posted in this thread.
Any questions id be happy to answer :-)

I was told to take the bandage off the next day which meant that sleeping was a problem as it was too sensitive to touch.

I got a big cushion (square) and held it between my legs which made a bit of a tent.

I also like sleeping on my side but found that having my legs closed was sore so the cushion kept them apart abit which helped.

Good tip with the cushion,, thanks,, watching a DVD in bed now and can see that making a tent for the wee fella would make life a bit easier.

How soon did your sensitivity go down?

I prob kept the cushion for 2 or more weeks. It's 4 weeks tomorrow since my op and it's only been this week were I'd have felt comfortable sleeping on my back without it.

You poor thing...4 weeks - in all honesty, i felt pretty much normal after 3 weeks (caught every so often, but tolerable, but it shows how much variance there is in the healing process.

Glad everyone is on the mend - Michael, the issue with the pee is pretty normal, there isn't a lot you can do about it, especially with the "water sprinkler" effect - the bandage is more to keep swelling down and catch any post-op blood , it was my experience that healing only really starts when you take off the bandage and let the air at it. Urine is pretty much sterile so there won't be too much to worry about.

    Day 3
    What a night
finally got the bandages off,,,, god that was the most painful part so far.
Was nearly in the Bath soaking for an hour and having no luck,, the bandages seemed to be stuck in a wound,,,, I kept tearing open the wound and got totally spooked when I seen some flesh peeking out from under thebandage along with some bleeding,,, it was after midnight but I decided to go to a&e for peace of mind,,, after all I only have one lad and use him a lot.
Finally got to see doctor who laid me on a bed and firmly pulled off the bandage making me wince and gasp in pain..
    Finally it was off.
The little man didn't look so good but the doctor reassured me that everything is looking fine.
finally drive back home and went to sleep,, thankfully only the one boner awakening all night.
I think the worst is probably over now,,I sure hope so,,, the lad is dangling free today in the air and feels fine,, no pain except when it touches something.

Had a slow leak of blood for the last few hours due to an erection this morning,,, finally got it stopped and now on anti biotics. shame as I was doing so well up to this point,, ah well,, new bandage comes off in twenty four hours,, decided to set my alarm on 2 hour intervals for tonight to make sure my bladder is empty and hopefully stop the lad waking up again.

I don't have a medical card or health insurance,,, if you need an operation you will get it for free in this country,,, you do need a referral from your gp and be prepared to wait a long time,,, ie one to two years.

    Moisturising creams ?

At what stage do you put moisturiser on the head,,, and what is the best cream to use ? Aloe vera gel?

My head is fairly blistered , cracking, drying out,, starting to get a harder skin in places .

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators Posts: 18,145 Mod ✭✭✭✭CatFromHue

My doc never mentioned anything about moisturising to me.

    Neither did mine,,
Tried aloe Vera gel this morning on the head after a 5 min salt bath,, the gel is very soothing and makes mine feel better.
it also helps with skin cracking, peeling etc etc
