    Hurry up:confused:

Clondalkin (Nangor Road Exchange) got upgraded during the night

    DSL now 3072 / 384
ISP Test is showing 2.11 Mbps down / 326kbps up
Average Ping to boards.ie is 11ms
Average Ping to Jolt.co.uk is 19ms

Pings are certainly inproved but I never had a major problem with them anyways. Although the upload is greatly improved I have a concern with the download speed which while improved a bit its lower than I expected. Should a 3Mb line be only getting 2.10 Mbps. When running ISP Test the download speed initally starts off at 2.67 Mbps but quickly drops to 2.10 and then remains there for the rest of the test.

The upgrade work is due to continue until 6pm this evening. Hang in there.
Not trying to be smart but are you sure you're connected to the Blanchardstown exchange? Sometimes there can be a couple of exchanges covering the same area.
Put your number into the line checker here (http://www.smarttelecom.ie) to make sure.

    Yes, Tried that

Both home and office on same exchange.

And i saved downloading a couple of movies waiting for the upgrade.

Download speed is flaking away at a handy 250+KB/s and upload speed is now at 38 to 40KB/s. Tried the ISP test, and while there was definitely improvement over yesterdays test (especially in upload), the tester must be gettin hammered so will wait and see for a proper result in a week or two. Got a ping of about 23ms from boards.ie, not bad really?

The upgrade makes a hell of a difference for bittorrent I can tell ya!

    Cheers BT!

oh yeah and does anyone know if the increased 30GB cap applies for the month of January, or will it only start from Feb?

My speeds are terrible at the moment

Is this to be expected because of the upgrade ?
