Can't say I have. All the action seems to be over here on the southside though, is that where he is?

    Apparently so, yes.

If it was two guys doing a striptease, then it was just my flatmates again.

It's meant to be some guy, who walks around his room naked, with the blinds up. I was talking to some girls, who live across from him, and they were speaking of him.

Hmm...I do that, but only cos I'm on the fourth floor and there are no buildings near me, so I doubt it's me they're thinking of..

    It's androgynous

There's nothing androgynous about my naked form I'll have you know.

Hmmm...great way to try and drive a wedge between the two communities, Pet. It's not like we pay less rent than you up here? And where does that leave 79, 81, 81a and 82? The 'Eastside'?

Oh yeah, he's really putting up boundaries in Halls with that comment. When are the bricklayers coming in to put up the security wall between you? Still, for the meanwhile, the ban on marriage between a North-hallser and a South-hallser should be enough.

Contenders last year included "The Docks"

According to last year's way, 79 was "the ghetto" and 80-82 were "the East End".

The JCR election candidates listings are out. Only William Keaveney is running again. See attachment!

John Murray seems to be taking it relatively easy, having been Senior Lecturer last year.

****e, I was going to run for music officer but I missed the bloody deadline. Ah well. George (if he is who I think he is) should be good enough. He's no Roro, but he's the next best thing.
    79 was "the ghetto"

Heh. Poor cunningham house, they get all the slagging and no broadband internet.

Um, hello? House 85 is smoke-alarm abuse central! Who rememebrs the fire safety lecture, incidentally, when every example was 85?

    Bin jenga:

    stateofthekitchen021small7ub.jpg

    The smell. is. ungodly.

We've all been watching it closely for about a week now, watching and wondering. Who will be the first to break? It won't be me, I have principles. But there's an unspoken agreement; whoever topples the pile takes it down to the dumpster. So precision and care are needed when placing rubbish on the already-precarious pile.

Next time make it helical bin jenga!

Even though I'm on the fourth floor, with my window open I can smell the perfume/aftershave of people walking by on the ground! Crazy stuff.

Does anyone know what film or television programme is being shot on Temple Road (at No. 40, I think it was)?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,945 ✭✭✭cuckoo

Pet, did the bin jenga get dismantled?

europerson, ask them next time you're wandering by. i'm rampantly curious about anything that i'm don't have to study at the moment, so let us know if you find out.

I was going to ask one of the friendlier-looking guys, but his phone rang just as I approached him. He was hanging about outside the location this evening. The director seems to be really sour.

I was walking back from the Luas about 15 mins ago, and right when there was a big crowd of people walking along, some guy runs out and shouts dramatically "That's a wrap, guys!". Sap. Yeah, we so care about the B-rated straight-to-video whatever-it-is-you're-shooting.

Yes, someone else broke and took it down, natch.

    shtonovka004small3lz.jpg

This is Shtonovka. He (well technically it, penicillium is asexual) started as a potato that went mouldy in the bottom drawer in my kitchen, and ever since then I've fed him with breadcrusts and bits of fruit peelings. As you can see, he's a growing boy and has spread through the entire drawer now. I won't be taking him home with me though, I have proper pets there.

    One word: minging.

How dare you speak of Shtonovka in that way.

I was told that it's a cornflakes ad (the shoot, not the bin).
