Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Think there was whispers of them playing the Guinness storehouse?

Looking at previous posts there's a lot of repeated questions we already have the answers for - cost of tickets, lineups etc. All info is ticketmaster.ie.

For those who are still unsure

    1) Big gig in Storehouse - You cannot buy tickets for this, it's all corporate/celebs/comp winners etc

    2) There are 4 other decent sized gigs where the lineups have been announced. These are all sold out - tickets were around the €20 mark

    3) There are about 40 other smaller gigs in pubs around the country. Tickets are approx €9 - many of these are sold out but some still on sale. you will see 2 smaller acts and 1 "big" act such as david gray, sugababes etc. Which "big" act is playing which smaller venue has not yet been announced - it's supposed to be some form of lottery type system.

My question is - has anyone heard any whisperings of which headline acts are playing the smaller venues - somebody must know something!!

Sorry I meant which act goes with each venue. I saw the lists of acts. I'm going to book one of the venues and hope to catch Calvin Harris or David Gray. I've never heard of Kasabian before.

The lads in Pygmalion bar have said the they've gotten wind of who's playing the Powerscourt Centre and say it's the best act by far. Can they know this or is this just shameless self promotion?

Damn...should've gone for one of the 4 'big' venues when I had the chance. When I was buying the tickets I thought bands like Noah&the Whale and David Gray would be playing the pubs aswell as the guest 'big' acts....ah well, I still have a 1 in 30 chance of seeing tom jones!!!

oh how i wish i was going to the odeon instead of dorans:(

Not sure that anyone is going to Dorans, its still closed isn't it?

However I think its interesting that there is only one band listed for there whilst the others have two, perhaps the proper stage set up may mean there will be a couple of the bigger bands playing there.

I cant beleive that most the places are sold out should be a good night!! Anyone know will there be a load of free Booze?

They're confirmed, as far as I know. I know the Press Release is a bit iffy but the pubs aren't that far apart either...

    Apparently they will!
All the special guests performing in the four studio venues and in Hopstore 13 including Tom Jones, Kasabian and Estelle will make an unannounced appearance for 30 incredible minutes when they perform live in an intimate pub setting for under €10.

I'm sure there will - The Penny Hill in Lucan and I would imagine some of the other Louis Fitzgerald pubs are giving a free pint of Guinness to the first 100 customers.

Think the oul wan won 2 tickets to Tripod, and they'll be mine. Calvin Harris, Rep. of Loose and a few others, should be good and I'll be going unless I get my Kasabian Storehouse ticket.

Will there be a last batch of tickets on sale anytime soon or are the gigs 100% sold out?

It's a bit crap that a lot of the pubs are ticket only, prefer to pay on the door and go see different bands in different pubs...
