So now there are two highly-suspicious incidents regarding the US election which stand out enough to raise concerns with even the most moderate observer;

1. The truck driver affidavit detailing how he drove 24 pallets of completed mail-in ballots from NY to PA;

The first witness says he does not know how many ballots were involved, others estimate 100k and over. The second witness speculates up to 18k ballots involved in GA.

Same thing happening with a congressional (i think) seat in NY.

Democrat incumbent was losing by 28,000 votes. Huge margin. A democrat appointed judge then said he would review the spoiled ballots himself. After "reviewing" them he found enough ballots that now the Democrat is leading by 12 votes, and only yesterday they "found" another 55 votes, for the democrat.

Again mail-in ballots were said to be responsible but with 60,000 mail in ballots and over 70% of them going for the democrat and then the judges actions of reviewing spoiled ballots to put the democrat over the finish line is beyond suspicious.

To be honest all this election fraud talk has me thinking about our own elections. Some things to me just don't seem to add up. Like certain candidates who were essentially told no to appear in public or canvass yet won their seat despite not being remotely qualified and being involved in/aware of multiple scandals.

Now i'm in no way making any accusation or claim of fraud against any person or individual. Lets be clear on that from the off and in the claim culture we live in i don't want any confusion (given the rise in the Governments tendency to send Gardaí to the door of people that speak their minds on the interweb).

Yes i understand that some people are just that stupid to keep voting for the same person based on "i've always voted this way" or "s/he's the only one i know", but at what point will things change. I see in recent polls that FF took a nose dive and FG have risen again. Seriously! The options are limited but with over 1.3 million NOT voting and our current Government made up of only one first choice and the rest 5th, 6th, up to 15th choice candidates the Government, in my opinion, has no mandate and hence do not serve at the will of the people.

Well the public have a memory of the previous fiasco with the voting machines saga. So i doubt that will be tried again for decades, and it'll be an app on your phone or something equally stupid.

HSPC report shows no cases of influenza reported by GPs during weeks 40 to 47 (September 28th to November 22nd), no hospitalizations recorded, and no deaths recorded. Seems Covid-19 has cured the Flu.

To make kiviaq, she learned, around 30 whole birds (with feathers, intestines, and all) are sewn into a sealskin, then left to ferment under a pile of rocks for at least three months. When they’re finally removed, the birds are eaten raw.

Probably the worst I ever ate was swordfish. Sort of a chicken texture with a fishy taste. I detested it. Tripe soup in a village in Poland, great stuff. On our honeymoon my wife used to laugh at me brushing my teeth with bottled water but would eat anything. Ate some questionable stuff at a market. Cold pigs ear in a Chinese on Parnel St in Dublin was manky. I used to go in and point at Chinese writing, lucky dip as to what’s appear on the plate.

Many years ago i was in a boxing club with a lad who was in the French Foreign Legion. I was asking him what it was like, he reckoned all they fed you was tripe in milk, its to try and build you up. Sounds manky.

That is considered a delicacy by a lot of the older generation in Cork, usually served with drisheen.

The pigs ear. Probably depends how its cooked. Cold in a broth and its going to be manky ang gelatinous. But it can also be crumbed and deep fried like a snitzel - delicious when done right. There's a Irish chef in Oz, he's on MyKitchenRules if anyoen has seen the show, who is know for snout to tail philosophy - some thing I think hunters are quicker to agree with.

Offal and odd bits don't bother me - but only if there's a way to make it tasty. ie I'm not going to drink blood for sustenance, but more than happy to eat black pudding. I'd need to be stranded a few months bore I think the 10calories from an eyeball would save me.

Had snails in a french restaurant. Just like tough mussels, no flavour, just and excuse for a bowl of garlic butter.

Worst thing hands down was some questionable durian fruit from a market in thailand. Durian stinks and is banned from hotels. I was tole told the taste makes up for the smell. It didn't, (may have been a rotten piece also)

Snails are pointless after the sauce wears off and yer still chewing and start getting an earthy taste. I had them once, wouldn't bother again.

My Granny used to go mad for winkles and dillisk.

I grew up eating dilisk and baineachs and winkles and wrasse pollock etc

Yea thinking back on it, it was either off or badly cooked. I spend the rest of the day burping and getting a fishy taste in my mouth, ugh.

I have indeed had a bit of that

The picking them out of their shells was the job for the kids with a sewing needle and alot of accidentaly stabbed finger tips
Theyd all be put into a pot for pan frying
Same process with baineachs but they fall out of their shell when boiled you just have to de back them :pac:

I definitely wasn't chewing them. Swallowed whole with the butter. Like an oyster.

I get that this foods all had time and a place where they made sense. But honestly no idea why anyone would choose snails with shellfish readily available.
Similarly, not sure why anyone would choose fermented, pisss-fish, when modern refridgeration exists.

In 1986, fresh out of school and Ag college with a green cert and with all the piss& vinegar of a youngster willing to take on the world. Me and a mate of mine had this idea of snail farming, as there was a demand for them even back then on the Continent. Doesn't require a huge amount of space, and is not very labour intensive either, and just some patience and basic knowledge of snails and their wily ways. All of which we had, just needed some cash to get it operational to source the markets.

Our idea was as well-received as the first bottle of Ballygowan water was received by Gay Bryne on the Late late show by everyone in Ireland who was in charge of money or farming and food exports...:(:mad:

35 years later... Always said it.it takes about 30 to 35 years for Ireland to catch up with anything everyone else has been doing for decades.:rolleyes:

Texas just filed suit in US Supreme Court against Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin at the state level, alleging that the four swing states did not select their presidential electors constitutionally.

The argument by Texas seems robust and looks to be the result of huge amounts of work.

Forget about election fraud - which the Guardian article in the link presents as a straw man - the issues in question are the procedures followed in the 4 swing states to introduce mail-in voting.

The Chinese are not to be trusted, they are ruthless and very underhand. For some reason Russia is portrayed in the media as the bogieman who is up to all kinds of evil, but in reality its the Chinese. I wouldn't be in the least surprised if they developed this horrible virus deliberately.

A barrister has formed a new privately-funded org called Irish Council for Human Rights which is going to challenge the constitutionality of an aspect of the Covid lockdown here.

Doesn't appear to be an amateur attempt like the one brought by Gemma and John, which actually did more harm than good IMHO.

I'm on the record as saying the lockdown is/was unconstitutional, had a letter printed in Sunday Times where I say it in passing, as part of a critique of Golfgate/Woulfe.

The lady barrister says she has advice to challenge infringements of either the right to work or the right to worship and as Declan Ganley is preparing a challenge wrt the latter, her org will prepare a challenge based on work. They are looking for plaintiffs from the small business community who have been impacted by the lockdown.

My own opinion is now, that there have been at least two lockdowns in 2020, there is an argument around the proportionality of the legislation; most people would probably agree with the first lockdown (as I do) because so little was known about the virus at the time, but I really worry that lockdowns could in future be imposed more-and-more casually, so I wish the ICHR well in their effort.
