Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It seems decent enough actually, & looked fine on the big plasma. Definitely worth considering if space is an issue, wouldn't mind one myself

Played it last night and a little earlier. Got to the first proper boss (the first pic in the link below), took me about 40 lives to learn his various patterns and another 10 to hang it together long enough to kill him. Thankfully the music in this game is excellent as you hear it start over and over and over. Think I'm on 100 deaths now so switched over to Megaman 2 - cleared two bosses in a row which is a first for me - Metal Man's weapon makes it much handier. Taking a break from NES punishment and going to play some Bloodborne, far easier. :D

Here's a link to the game in case anyone fancies a purchase, $47 for the boxed version.

Putting Retr0's MegaMan skills to use eh? Was great watching someone play it who's actually good at it!

How would people be fixed for a possible beers in mine on the weekend of the 30th May? Not 100% sure yet that I'll be free though but it's very likely

Depends on himself but I haven't any plans. I've communion on the 24th if you have to move a week back it won't suit me.

    So...

Have arranged a trip to Cardiff to see some mates and do Doctor Who related stuff instead.

Pity because you're only down the road from me too.

My friend might come, he's not on boards though.

If you have GameCube & dreamcast controllers that'd be great.

    Now.
Just looking at the Beers suggestion of a while ago and seeing about Retrogaming on the big big screen, in the cinema in Ashbourne.
They have a deal on that you pay €100 and get an hour of the PS3/360 on the movie screen.
I'm thinking though that the Retron5 might be compatible, assuming it's just a HDMI port they have, and we could play 4 player Super bomberman or similar.

If we move ahead with it we'll see what we'll play and how long per player.

Also I'll be away from the last week in July and back on the second week of August, so might throw a Beers towards the end of August.

Plenty of time to get numbers and game suggestions in.

Let me know what you think and if we get the numbers we could get a deal on 3 hours before moving the party back to mine afterwards.

Playing on a retron 5 is against my religious beliefs.

Well, I'm an atheist, which is why I'm cool with it.
And, VC aside, its the only way to play Megaman 2 on a movie screen.

RandomSelect.ie are doing a night where they book out upstairs in that place on Liffey street.

Mostly fighting games, but would anyone be interested in setting up a retro corner?
