Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I got 2 tickets to the church, sounded good idea.
    1) Atrthur was married there
    2) Nice and easy to get to
    3) Good atmosphere
    4) Not too pricey
    5) Sells good Guinness!

If anyone knows how I can get to the V.I.P gig, let me know! LOL (Hey if you don't ask, you don't get!)

How reliable is your source chief? :)
I'd kill to be at that if its true...

There was a line on the Independents website (im nearly sure this was where I saw it) around the time of Slane that Noel was due to play an acoustic gig in Dublin in December....anyone heard anything about that?

No need for another thread on it, it's being discussed here.

Can't believe nobody's mentioned it yet. Does anybody know where Tom Jones is playing? That'd be sweet sure he's the biggest name on the list. I would imaging he's playing in the Storehouse but are the Storehouse acts playing anywhere after that?

    Wouldn't mind seeing Kasabian too.

As above, €17.59 to tie in with the year Arthur Guinness signed his lease, of course poor old Aurthur didn't factor in the ticketmaster charge to bring them up to just off €20.

Should be good night in the city, I'm off to Whelans myself, unless I'm lucky enough to be heading to the Storehouse to see Kasabian.

Are tickets sold out for definite?

The ticket company who are dealing with the event really irritate me: "Tickets are not on sale"- it should say "Sold Out" or "Available". I am uncertain as of now because I have heard that more tickets are being released- so I am unsure, thanks to that company (which will remain nameless, due to the Boards.ie rules, I believe) if they will be on sale again soon.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,588 ✭✭✭Bluetonic

Which gig are you talking about?

Some events are sold out, some are not. There are around 40 events all together which are open to the public via ticket sales and one event which is for competition winners only (the storehouse gig with Kasabian, Tom Jones and Estelle).

No, I'm pretty sure you're free to say ticketmaster are a complete shower of thieving cvnts if you wanted to...

Really want to know where Noah and the Whale are playing... Anyone heard anything? Even rumours?!

  • Registered Users Posts: 73 ✭✭Rabbit Heart

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before but Kasabian, Tom Jones and Estelle will be playing one of the pub venues as well as the Storehouse.

Has anyone heard where Kasabian are playing, even rumours?
They're the only band I really want to see and Guinness arent giving away any hints.

I never managed to find any of those codes or whatever we were supossed to be looking for for the Storehouse gig.
I was gonna chance my arm and see if I could get in but its very doubtful:p

  • Registered Users Posts: 92 ✭✭Eegorbishcan

Have to say Guinness are doing well to keep this under wraps, 40 venues and the none of the pubs staff or promoters have even dropped a sneaky hint.... they must be drawing names out of a hat on the day, anybody know anyone playing on the day or a member of the Guinness family with a slight bit of insider info??

Whats the story with the gig in the brewery? The one with Kasabian,Estelle etc. Is it a VIP job, dont see any ticket info for it.

Spoke to someone who works in the brewery but not for Guinness themselves. Apparently tickets for this one are like the preverbial hens teeth and those attending are likely only to be on the AAAA+ list.
