Or get a band and do banded push ups for a greater range of motion.

Bands. Cheaper than buying a hape of dumbbells that will become paperweights in the not too distant future and probably more versatile.

Meanwhile making do with a bench and a pair of 18KGs - totally maxed out in terms of what i can do but continuing none the less (using a Metal Cabinet as a step up atm - decent burn in fairness when using the 18s - felt it well in my quads, but sorely missing a decent leg press)

Yea iv been really working out the mechanics of some old school dumbell only stuff - i have a bench too but no rack so

Off topic but the following new additions are hitting the spot

• Sumo Squat with Single Dumbbell - so if i move all the plates to one i can get a 26KG - like you said at tempo this is pretty decent - really feel the hit
• Bent over dumbbell raise is ok too - difficult with the mechanics of my kit though - bench is not sturdy and a bit low - still useful though
• Chest Dumbbell Press is all about tempo obviously the 18s are light by comparison to where i was in the gym - tempo stretches it nicely
• Shoulders/Triceps/Biceps are obviously the best - havent really been effected bar not having a Barbell - but decent progress and hit on most -

Its amazing in a Gym, my 'favorite days' would have been chest, back and legs - the big muscle groups - but at home its definitely the Arms and shoulders - had a tremendous day on Thursday with that grouping (Bicep/Tricep/Shoulders incl some super sets) - still feel a lite DOMS today, and Friday's DOMS were harsh - great feeling considering its been a month since i set foot in a gym

the 20kg kit means the entire set is 20kg.

so 17kg of plates, and the dumbells. My old york dumbbell handle is about 1.8kg including the metal spin locks, that set shows plastic spinlocks but describes them as chrome, so I am not sure.

You cannot fit all the plates only 1 bar. The most I can get on mine is 2x2.5 and 2x1.25 on each side. So a total of 15kg plates and 1.8kg bar so 16.8kg.

I also have 5kg plates and 10kg plates. The 10kg are too big to be doing most dumbell exercises, 5kg are great. I would advise against tri grip 5kg plates as they would be a wider diameter and can get in the way, and 5kg is easy to lift anyway so no need for it. -you probably won't find any anyways! I was saying in another thread to ask friends & relatives if they have any. Loads of lads I know bought weights before and do not use them, or could have some spare plates they would loan out.

If people are looking for plates it will be "standard" "1 inch" plates for these sets, there are ones with 2 inch holes for the more advanced sets. Some plates are vinyl and filled with concrete which are very bulky and so you will not fit much on the handle, I would avoid them.

I purchased one set of dumbbells myself, as the option is there to add to cart. I had wanted to buy other items too that are back in stock on May 15th but was unable to add them to the cart. I left a note, so hopefully they are able to facilitate.

I see a lot of people on their Facebook asking where their orders are from last month with no replies. (Also, they jacked up prices by nearly a hundred quid when the lockdown started!) Wouldn't be giving my money to people who do that
