Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If kabib is walking around at 190 then why is he not fighting at 170? ****ing coward

Why doesn’t he have 4 extra meals a day and fight against butter bean in a boxing match. Such a coward.

Khabib is such a scared frightened pussy. And for Conor next fight he is gonna be trained by social media superstar James Kavanagh.

He isn't walking around close to 190. Khabib never balloons up he is always relatively lean.

Khabib walks around at 190 lbs?! My bollix he does. I’m 6’1”” and walk around at 160 lbs but don’t have a 6 pack.
    What's your point exactly?
Conor is at least 3 inches shorter than you and 10lbs heavier on average, why wouldn't Khabib be?

Didn't he miss weight before from having to cut so much weight? He's better these days, mind.
Dos Anjos also said he walked around at 190 ish as well.

He’s he check now. Missed weight a few times previously.

Josh Thompson (assistant coach at AKA) also the above was wrong and he was 190 at the time after showing up to camp at 195.
There’s always a certain amount of misinformation put out there regarding walk around weight.

Lads some common sense please, if you are going to reference a fight that was barely on a few hours ago at least use spoiler tags for a bit!

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,651 ✭✭✭US2

Common sense would be not going onto an MMA forum if you're avoiding results.

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 10,462 Mod ✭✭✭✭Axwell

Indeed but unfortunately people still check on the forum or read their emails. But there's also a charter which clearly says the rules regarding spoilers so its pretty simple to follow and either post in the event thread or use spoiler tags..

Already a Fight Night event scheduled for that date in Vegas so most likely its not an MMA related tweet at all.

I think he's just excited that he's booked his tickets to the June Rodgers Christmas Show.

No way he fights in Dublin again until he gets bumped to Bellator, so it's not fight related so most people probably don't care.

He has 5 fights left on his current UFC deal. No way he fights 5 more times with them, we'll never see him in a Bellator cage.

Wasn’t there a pay per view interview once done by McGregor?

    Maybe another instalment?

Be pretty smart by the ufc to have him fight in Dublin .

He would be able to get the head down and might actually really make an effort to get things back on track .

Also wasn’t the Dubai card a PPV and supposedly done great numbers . They could actually do a PPV in Dublin no ?

all main media seems to be at that click click click. Agreed with above, definitely not getting the likes he usually does, interest definitely waning. I like how the LW's are mostly bypassing him with callouts now. I know he enjoys a callout but it will rile him up awful to just be ignored.

They'd probably still lose a shít tonne of money vs having it in Las Vegas or New York. There will be less PPV buys and they won't be able to charge 10k a ticket to the 3Arena. The only way Dublin happens is if McGregor is no longer a huge draw so I can't see it happening.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,357 ✭✭✭Man Vs ManUre

He signed off an Instagram post last week also with ‘see you all soon’ or something. Hopefully a fight is announced soon, it’s becoming a joke now and more and more difficult to justify supporting him still. He should be willing to fight either Poirier or Gatyche and is a fight that makes sense to both parties. Not sure if he can demand same pay as before.

Probably just some nonsense PR event for his whiskey in the run up to Christmas. Although, if you hang around long enough you will probably catch him slapping the head off a few oul lads outside the local Bingo club!

I'd like to see him fight Justin G. It's a winnable fight that puts him right back into the title picture.

Winner of that could face the winner of Khabib and T Ferg.

I wouldn't mind him facing Felder either as a sort of 'Irish' showdown. Preferably in Croke Park or the Aviva.

They definitely could do a Dublin PPV, especially considering Dubai has a further time difference to the US.

Some of their PPV's do terrible numbers as it is. So no real reason why they couldn't have a big fight in Ireland that would bring a lot of novelty to an event.

Would they go outdoor in December? Conor would be fine but any yanks or brasilians would freeze their bollix off.
Also, early evening is a weird time in the us for fights but its not completely nuts. Loads of other sports like college football, baseball and hockey run at those times. Not sure many dudes will say " i dont want beers and a fight at 5 on a saturday!"

Normal UFC time is 7pm in US. Having it as a PPV in Ireland would be 12pm start in the US
