Last year when i was coming from the pink moon into the arena at like 1am they wouldnt let me bring in cans which i always though you were allowed to after the bars closed?

Usually it was after 12.30 they allowed you to take in four cans I think.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

Was it the Scottish security wearing yellow or yellow/orange shirts, that's usually the Specialised Security crowd.

I think on the Saturday night they said the time you can bring in cans was later than the other nights. Maybe 2am

Not a hope, that will be main stage all the way he plays a good few roses tunes in his sets.

Maybe in 2012 when he had no solo material, really very little info about what his sets will be like in 2019. If he has a similar set up like Slash has with Myles Kennedy then year for sure he'd main stage. Will have to wait and see, either way I'd be happy to see him.

The thread is stagnating and needs a little lift. Any suggestions for some cheese for the Electric Ireland stage? We've had Bananarama so what about The Bangles? Though probably too cool & expensive for that slot. In that case I'll take Vanilla Ice.

So many cheesy bands have become fashionable, so might be hard to get some popular. Even though they would be too big for it, would love to see Hall & Oates!

On another note, got back into the Clash and Big Audio Dynamite lately. From them, Spotify recommend Wire...and really getting into them.

I see Wire are playing End of the Road festival the same weekend, so would like to see them being announced.

Not sure if the Bangles have ever been described as 'too cool' for anything before.

aaaaah, Susanna Hoffs, the co-pilot of the bedroom helicopter of my early teens guiding my meat joystick for many nightly missions, think my wrist would have nam-like flashbacks if they were on stage.

    128 sleeps btw.

Much as all as I’d love to see Wire,I doubt they’ll make an appearance, they’ll probably be thrown into somewhere like The Academy to perform,I’ve only noticed Killing Joke are playing at The Academy as well on August 14th,so that’s them ruled out for an appearance too

How about a kajagoogoo (Is that how it is spelt) reunion? Could see Chris De Burgh on that stage.

unfortunately, i think a lot of the "good" 80s style acts are playing the forever young festival thingy which would rule a lot of them out.

Definitely safe to rule out the Raconteurs at this point, the European leg of the tour is quite short and they are back in the US in July. I suppose there could be a chance of a standalone Irish date later in June, hopefully they get asked to headline for EP20.

I think its prob too late for a June date from them :(. Hoping they do a proper tour headline tour after the summer

Going Down to Liverpool, Manic Monday, etc. They had a certain coolness. And Susanna. Oh Susanna.

Yeah imagination are playing that one too. Its funny I haven't heard anything more about Forever Young, I wonder how their ticket sales is doing, not a blip in the media about it which makes me suspect this could fold if there is no interest in it like the Westport festival a few years back that was supposed to have Duran Duran headlining in which they eventually headlined the Picnic in 2017.

The Cardigans play DCODE fest in Madrid in September.

I reckon a wee trip to Stradbally is on the cards.

A dozen acts at that who'd have been perfect fare for the Picnic.

There has been a good few articles popping up about Forever Young since last week on FB. Id be shocked if this even comes to selling out imo but agree it might even be cancelled
