Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It's certainly a record - on my history of PB wins!

    Actually, the pattern is amazing - 8 X €50 over 6 consecutive weeks on this 'glitch'; July 2017 - 6 X €50 over 3 consecutive weeks (1, 3, 2); May 2016 - 5 X €50 over 4 consecutive weeks.

I would be interested in knowing how close together, or how far apart your winning numbers are. Would there be a subsection of numbers representing under €25K which won €100 or €150?

    Interesting exercise!
In the July 2017 glitch, I won 6 X €50 in 3 consecutive weeks - four of the winning bonds came from the same batch and there was a difference of only 2943 between those 4 bonds.

    22 Aug 2014 I won 2 X €50 from that same batch with a difference of 334 between them.

    7 Sept 2018 - I won 2 X €50 from a different batch with a difference of 557 between them.

so a word of caution if you're thinking of banging in 50 or a 100k,it isn't a bed of roses in prize bond land, huge dry spells.i'd be massively frustrated if i wasn't used to it!

The issue with law of averages it aint an exact sciene. You could have a long dry spell then win twice in two week.

I have €12,500 since Jan 20 and another batch of €12,500 from July 20 and no wins yet but i am sure it is coming any day now

yeah,in it nearly ten years now and used to it's vagaries at this stage.ah consistency and the law of averages eh?you're in one or two wins a year territory
there on "average" good luck for the future.

Had my first win in 2 months last Friday, so I've updated my table. I've also edited my data to allow for the fact that there are only 999,999 bonds per letter combination, not 1,000,000. Quite a lot of new bonds sold since the beginning of the year.

The thing about it is that sitting in the bank you are getting nothing. Ya your gambling but you are also hoping to get some bit of a return.

Nothing the last two weeks for me. Last win last October.

I've expanded my earlier table to show the number of days between wins. Three of these were double wins and one was a triple, making a total of 1.85% over a period of 3 years and 10 months. This is an annualised return of 0.48% and is definitely better than the return I would have received if I had put this money on deposit.

You will also notice that the pattern is quite irregular, with one gap of 175 days between wins and a fallow period in 2018 when I only had two wins in 37 weeks. But there was also a great run in 2019 where I had 10 wins between February and July.

not really relevant the time between wins when you don't say how many bonds you have,ie 25k should win 1-2 times a year,250k 13 times a year etc.

I didn't think it was necessary to say how many bonds I had, as I quoted an overall return of 1.85% and you could work back from this to calculate how much I had invested. My initial investment was €100,000 and I have automatically reinvested my winnings, so I currently have a total holding of €101,850.

The Prize Bond Draw for the 12th of March 2021 has taken place. Due to a technical issue, the publication of the results to the website has been delayed and will be available as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.

Sorry. Wrong about the results. My win today from same batch as last week. It was last weeks win showed up in the search function.

My tracker says the information is only accurate to 5th March even searching for the date range up to today. Still hopeful ;)

I took a look yesterday to see how my €10K batch bought in 2007 performed since August 2017. Three wins in 2018, one in April, two in June. No wins since then. So that means someone with €20K could go for well over a year with no wins. Nothing surprising there of course, but some people think that it indicates a scam.

Mine says the same and informs me that I had a €50 win today :D. It has to have been today as I checked last week and nada then.

Nothing for me today. Continuing my March count.

Week 2. 32 million bonds AUP to AVU inclusive. Highest AUP 12, lowest AVD zero. Four other prefixes had 3, and five had 8. All prizes €50. Total wins 180, average per million 5.625. x €50 x 52 = €14625.00 / 62.50 = €234.00 expected win by €100K in a year, nearest is €250.

32 million bonds won 4.540% of the 3965 prizes. 100% of the fund on that basis would be €4.4053 billion rounded.

    Nothing for me today.

Are you sure ? When I use the find winners it shows that I have no winnings (naturally enough !) but it also states “ Up to date as of Friday 5 March 2021” so looks like today’s winnings still haven’t been uploaded.

From memory, last time this was broken it didn’t get sorted out properly until late Sunday night, though there were a few intermittent periods of availability before that.

I'm still getting that message too .... but no lodgement to be seen so I'm not expecting anything....

Did you see the link on the red message? It has the winners listed by bond number, and I know my numbers.

Our holdings are scattered from €25 (yes, €25, not €25 K) value upwards - I did check the numbers of the 3 larger batches but I haven't looked at all the 'stray' ones.

No point looking for €25. That won't win for the next 3,867 years:)

I could have a win from one of my reinvestments, but it is very unlikely.

This barren spell is lasting longer than current lockdown :)

    Wins on 12th March 2021: €0
    Last win: 18th December 2020: €50
    Weeks since last win: 12
€134k invested in prize bonds since July 2017
Win ratio: 24 wins in 193 weeks (12%)
    2017 (Jul-Dec): 5 x €50 = €250
    2018 (Jan-Dec): 4 x €50 = €200
    2019 (Jan-Dec): 5 x €50 = €250
    2020 (Jan-Dec): 10 x €50 = €500
    2021 (Jan-date): 0 x €50 = €0

Sorry you are of course correct. I hadn't spotted that. I think I'll wait till the system is sorted. That way I live in hope of a prize for another few hours rather spend 30 mins of my time checking manually only to confirm that my dry spell of doom is persisting !

(However I had a peek at the top prize and can confirm that I do not own VI912965)

    #Dry2021. No Joy.
Kildare hits a new low of 163 winners this week.

    Jan XXXXX
    Feb XXXX
    Mar XX

(Spare a thought for Tuis' poor Postman though) :)

133 for Kildare. Which is just one fewer than all the wins in Monaghan, Cavan, Leitrim, Sligo, Roscommon and Longford combined. Also just one fewer than Westmeath, Offaly and Laois combined. Longford got just 10 wins.

Going back to the start of the year Kildare got an average of 3.648% of the prizes. The county had 4.676% of the population in the 2016 Census, so that might indicate that the people of Kildare are in a "Disadvantaged Area":)

As always Dublin and Cork combined got more than half the prizes this week, 52.6%.

Fourteenth week of nothingness, a new record for me. Previous longest drought was 13 weeks on €200k in Autumn 2018

    Winnings on 12th March €0
    Last win: 4th December €50
    Weeks since last win: 14

    2017 (Jul-Dec) - €100k – 7x€50 = €350
    2018 (Jan-Dec) - €200k – 12x€50 = €600
    2019 (Jan-Dec) - €250k – 20x€50 = €1,000
    2020 (Jan-Dec) - €252k - 24x€50 = €1,200
    2021 (YTD) - €257k - 0x€0 = €0
