Quick update: Got an email this morning from IParcel to state
"We can tell you that we received your parcel in our facility on 11/26/2013 and it landed on 12/13/2013 Ultimately your shipment will be delivered by Swiss Post". I did not realise that I had moved to Switzerland.

I'm waiting for a parcel from Amazon.de - sent with iParcel on 29th of April, still not here. until yesterday its status was:

Exported i-Parcel and in transit to country of destination Surrey GB
    Received at i-Parcel Surrey GB

why they sent it to Great Britain first is beyond my imagination, but latest update says:

Consolidation Arrived - Pending Customs Clearance and inbound scan IE

so looks like it's in Ireland already - the question is where exactly ;-)

Whenever I've had deliveries with them from Amazon, it's usually turned up two days after seeing the above status. It was delivered by Fastway Couriers to me in Dublin.

Have a package coming from Amazon.com and thats the status since Monday. Any ideas why customs are taking so long to clear it?

I have been a very regular customer of amazon.co.uk for over 10 years now whilst living in Belgium and now in Ireland, I have never had any issues with delivery, up until recently amazon.co.uk used An Post for most of the deliveries. Unfortunately they have recently been sending my orders via i-parcel, I have had NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS with the 3 orders sent via i-parcel, I have complained to amazon about each of these orders and have had the last 2 orders refunded. It has resulted in me voting with my feet and closing my account with amazon.co.uk after more than 10 years as a satisfied customer. I have been reviewing the discussion boards on amazon.com and there is a lengthy thread there on i-parcel along much the same lines as the discussion here so it appears that amazon are simply not interested in the feedback that their customers are giving them in relation to their use of i-parcel. They must be getting a VERY cheap service from i-parcel to ignore all that customer feedback as they clearly are.

Only noticed this thread now ... I haven't had the awful experience some people seemed to have , but as an observation I can safely say my last 3 Amazon UK orders have been at least 1 week longer to get here than I was used to.

Wont be risking buying Christmas presents on Amazon at this stage.

Even small inexpensive items are being sent by i-parcel :/ I think the reason they don't use An Post anymore is to cut down on fraud/scams. It's a known scam to say you never received an item when you really did and all you have to do is contact Amazons customer service they give you a refund or replacement without question. iparcel tracks all deliveries so they know for sure if the customer receives their item.

Well if their reason is as you suggest I very much doubt that it is saving them money, as out of 3 packages they dispatched to me viia iparcel they have managed to deliver only one (and that one was simply thrown over the wall to my back garden, so certainly no proof of delivery) one was completely lost during transit and the other returned to Amazon as undeliverable due to it being damaged in transit. I have now stopped using Amazon after being a loyal and regular customer for well over 10 years due to the uncertainty of actually receiving a package now they are using iparcel

I had 2 recent Amazon purchases, An Post being around 3 or 4 days faster than i-parcel. I think An Post had worked out in advance that Christmas is busy!

In the end both got here, but I could not rely on I-Parcel.

Hope people contact amazon about iparcel (I have, twice), would love them to end things with that shower of cowboys if enough people complained.

No thats not the reason because no signature has been required for the last couple of iParcel deliveries and stuff from Amazon coming with An Post gets scanned by the postman to show he has delivered it.

Its all down to cost iParcel are cheaper so you get a cheaper service.

I ordered a cot bed from Amazon and the tracking has nothing updated since 27th December. I said if call customer service today and they told me to cancel the order and they will issue a refund.

It's not like a pair of earrings or a book, I bloody well need the cot. Then the guy said he could get me a replacement but not the same one and he started adding cots to my basket.

I said that if it were a bed for my dog I'd be happy to just pick whatever one but I've already got the mattress and the matching changer.

How can a packaged up cot bed just go missing, it's HUGE! It's the 5th parcel to go missing from Amazon in 4 weeks, I've just had such hassle and when I ring up it just drives me bonkers trying to explain the whole thing.

Can I contact iParcel directly - I just feel when there's a tracking number surely there's some way of sourcing the cot bed in the warehouse.

Fastway or iParcel have lost stuff I've ordered you can ring the nearest depot http://www.fastway.ie/contact-us and see if they have a cot shaped parcel with no address.

This week it's an post 3, iparcel 0 - of 4 total orders (all from amazon)

An order placed the day delivery was due from iparcel has arrived before it, they really and truly are the worst courier in the country.

EDIT: amazon must have been on to them, their tracking updated (twice) for the first time in over a week today

As it has not arrived today either I have sent another email to amazon, being a bit more chastising of their choice of courier

Two years after this thread has been started & i-parcel's incompetence continues.
Waited patiently for my first parcel for about a month ("delayed due to weather or natural disaster" on tracking) before finding out the package has been burst open & the contents damaged/lost. Amazon sent the replacement via an post & received it within a few days. Second package has been "delayed due to external factors beyond our control", I'm not holding my breath...

Absolute joke of a company, I don't know how they can still be in business.

They are not doing any good for the reputation of Fastway or UPS (their owner).

    :/

If they are cheap enough and sending replacements doesn't outweigh the cost of the next highest bidder for the contract Amazon will probably keep them.

The problem being anyone doing a cheaper service and getting the contract can only be worse.

The only time that Amazon gave me an i-parcel tracking code after a purchase, was the first time I got my package stolen/lost.

Parcel was flagged as "delivered", but I didn't receive anything. Luckily Amazon sent me a replacement, but it says a lot about this courier.

Fair point, but Amazon are making a fair stab at creating the "Earth’s Most Customer-Centric Company", to have the customer experience fall apart at the final hurdle seems like a real shame.

That fact that this thread has being going on for two years proves you right :(

In the exact same boat as yourself at the moment. I bought a few things from Amazon UK during their week of sales for Black Friday. One item, a 15ft hdmi cable, is listed as delivered by iParcel/Fastway on Friday, when it most definitely was not. I've sent emails to Amazon and the couriers about the situation.

Additionally, two other items I bought were refunded after several days, with them listed as returned to Amazon, and another item had a replacement issued due to the previous item being unable to be delivered due to "unforeseen circumstances". I can't check who the items were originally sent out with now, but I wouldn't be surprised it was with these clowns. Naturally, everything else that was delivered by An Post came quickly, and without issue.

    And now it's my turn.
Anytime I've ordered anything from amazon I request standard delivery and it arrives why an post, at the expected time.

On Wed I was in dire need of a particular item and so I decided to pay extra for it to arrive asap, on Friday. Sure enough, my confirmation email said it was being shipped with i-parcel. I'd never heard of them so I googled them and they appeared to be some kind if ups subsidiary.

Anyway, come Friday afternoon, I get a phone call from a Fastway courier, telling me he was at the address, when he certainly wasn't.
The man had poor English but eventually I ascertained that he had gone to the wrong places because that's where google maps told him to go.

Before I explained that it's not wise to depend upon google maps, I realised that I knew where he was, and was only down the road, so I tried to direct him to where I was.
Bit he told me that he did not travel this far, (less than 1km) down the road because it was 'outside his zone', and I'd have to wait until the next business day (Monday) for it to be delivered again.

Now my blood was really beginning to boil, so before I lost my temper, I asked if I could collect it from the depot that evening. He said I could collect it from the depot in the other side of the city (sods law) after six.

So I made my way all the way across Dublin and arrived after six as I was instructed, to discover that the courier wasn't back yet, and I had to wait for him.

Only for the importance of the item, I would have allowed it be returned to amazon for a full refund.

I'm absolutely livid. And will now forward this event to Amazon and let them know that I will think twice about using them again.

To all others, beware the i-parcel/fastway courier service.

Senordingdong you should get whatever you paid for delivery back from Amazon at the very least and also contact fastways head office and complain. There is no point them having drivers who can't use sat nav or read instructions and certainly poor English while not a major hurdle does not help.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20,373 ✭✭✭✭foggy_lad

Just had a delivery from UPS/iParcel and the driver threw the package containing a satellite receiver over my back wall then gently knocked on the door and started to walk away as I opened the door!

There was a program on BBC or C4 last week showing the way these cheapskate delivery companies operate, they don't treat anything as fragile and will throw items into your bin or hedges or over a wall to tick off another delivery!

LOL I'm waiting on a HDD :( Late as you might expect from iparcel.

Contacted Amazon and got them to chase iparcel and turns out iparcel claim they contacted me. Guy from the local depot claims the parcel only has half an address, funny how they could contact me when Amazon chase them up but not to make a delivery. Will be interested to see if the parcel does have the correct address.

I can confirm once again that iparcel are the stupidest courier.

My HDD parcel arrived to day and was left on a the top of my post box which has a 45 degree slop on it in the rain. When I examined the address labels I found iparcel in Surrey (UK) had put their own incorrectly addressed label over the top of Amazons correctly addressed label.

18 days later after ordering my ssd from amazon I have still not received it. I contacted them on Saturday (after the expected deliver date on Friday), I went bananas mad about waiting so long and still not received it,I did not pay extra for fast shipping so I'm not actually sure who the parcel was sent with, but the replacement has been sent on a express shipment foc with this I - parcel crowd.

I have never heard of them before but reading everyone's reviews on here, I have my doubts if I will receive it tomorrow now.

Small package so when i-parcel put their own label on it they put it over the top of the Amazon label. If they get the address wrong then you don't get your item.

This I-Parcel/Fastway crowd of cowboys acting the bollix again!

Had a delivery due from Amazon today and was expecting it would not arrive early due to poor weather, Status was "on board with courier" all day then changed to "In order to effect delivery, we tried to ring the customer but there was no answer at the number provided to us so our courier left a voicemail

    02/03/2016
    19:45:32"

I got no calls or voicemail and the parcel is on its way back to New Ross from what I can see.

If it doesn't arrive in good condition tomorrow I will just complain to Amazon as well as the Fastway and I-Parcel head offices.

Thats exactly what I had when iparcel slapped the wrong address over the correct amazon address.

Amazon had my phone number but the courier didn't call me.

I made Amazon do all the work so Fastway called me in the end.
