More than an inch of snow this morning. Bit of a surprise.

Anybody round here with room in a tank could be getting free pig slurry after last night's rain.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Grasshoppers would plough the land here
Never in my lifetime have I seen it so wet

Forecast looks horrible, often wet and often wintry

    Agree.
We're on heavy land here but it's jelly like under foot. Like the topsoil could be sucked up with a slurry tank.

Here in the BBNP it is bathed in glorious sunshine and quite warm. Hope it clears up & dries up underfoot for all of you.

Depending where you are,you could have had a lot of rain by sunday night with a slow moving front over the country
    Very wet everywhere Saturday
Showers in the north sunday, longer rain in the south, drier in-between by then
Latest charts show it stuck over the south of the country by Sunday
The green is the heavier rain by then ,needless to say I'm not happy

Letter in the IFJ from a RN farmer who was raging about the front page pic of a WD farmer letting his cows out to grass and all the grass he had. Yer man said we can't measure grass down the west cos we can't see most of it.

Is the week coming looking more settled. Colder but drier?

Colder yes with good drying away from shower prone coasts
It could be snowy though by the end of the week especially on high ground

Yep, great moon. Fresh out tonight.

I see the crows were busy in the trees at 7:00 this morning, hate the feckers but it is a sign of spring that can't be ignored.

Got home after 4am this morning and had to feed some calves that I bought. The teats on the feeders were frozen solid. I had to use a heat gun to thaw them. According to the temp reading in the van it was -5 outside.

At that hour I think I would have left the calves to thaw the feeders while i hit the scratcher !
