It has to be said the whole event has downgraded significantly.
It's barely a toppler now with about 12 hours of proper cold.

Might deliver a few flakes this evening other than that NEXT!

The big freeze has arrived in Arklow anyhow...
    Currently 8.5c and sunny

there could be quite a few cold shots over the next few weeks but none of them look like lasting longer than 24 hours. Plenty of mild-cold-mild-cold-mild for the next while.

looks like the showers are dying out by the time they reach the river shannon. I don't really expect anything further east for the rest of the night maybe one or 2 areas may see a rogue snizzle shower but nothing worth staying up for.

could of been a shower passing through when that was recorded, but really very strong for something not mentioned in the 11pm forecast update. either way its become very windy and as i said earlier the irish sea has a very tight gradient over it later tonight....one to watch...

To my knowledge there wasn't supposed to be such a rapid increase in temperature either? Did that come out of nowhere as well?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,616 ✭✭✭✭Oscar Bravo

the strong winds will do that :(
