Wasnt too bothered before the game was released, but now im reading all you guys posting about the game ive got the itch. And New Vegas isnt scratching the itch :o
Is cdkeys.com the cheapest at 39,79?

    I have a 980Ti.

Just reading Digital Foundry's piece on cross platform, drops to 15fps at times on PS4 at 20fps on XB1 - with some utterly random, non-intensive sections also experiencing major stuttering.

Three or four times I've come across an area on PC where some particular feature has caused fps to drop to about 25 mysteriously. I can make it go up or down just by looking in that direction. I'm guessing something to do with some light/particle effects not being optimised very well.

Is anyone else finding the big decision on who to back in the lead up to the end of the main story a little weird? It's not so much that I am torn as to who to go with as it is that the whole situation feels incoherent and no one seems to be making much sense at all, and you can't really discuss it with any of them to the extent that you'd like. So I want to just tell them all to sort it out amongst themselves, I don't find any of you convincing enough to kill people over.

Scoped weapons are pretty much unusable scoped for me, frames drop to what feels like single digits. Really hope they get it sorted as I'm too puny to go near the scarier stuff :p

Also, does the fiddler on Radio Freedom know more than one piece. There's no way I'm listening to that station as is so my little villages can burn until they club together and sort out some better music.

ugh i wish this game had some sort of manager menu for your settlements its a pain in the hole and you get them all the time, i really want to reset my supply lines and the only way to do it is to wait around for them to show up ugh.

I do think the construction thing needs a lot of polish. Just feels messy atm. Hopefully they'll improve it with future updates.

Really should be a perk that shares all the contents of your workshop with every workshop you find. All my materials are in Sanctuary and there's no easy way to move them that I know of

Local leader perk does that. won't see the contents outside sanctuary but when you go to build something outside it it will show all your materials in your workshop in sanctuary

Struggling to see why people are bothering with settlements at all tbh.

Just looked this perk up, seems like a pain setting up supply lines. Hopefully a mod will make it automatically shared

I have no doubt that a mod will make settlements far more useful and easier to manage in time. The game is crying out for it.

Only bug I have encountered is Dogmeat got massacred by a traffic cone. Walked over it, then yelping, blood everywhere.

Just after I found Dogmeat at the very start we were attacked by a bunch of molerats. One was in mid leap when he jumped at it, the two of them flew about 50 feet into the air biting and snapping at each other. It was like some kind of wireframe martial arts movie.

He killed it easily enough, but then got critically injured falling back to earth.

its easy you tell some one to go to another settlement, if you have all the lines connected your work shop pools the resources. I just wish they worked on the ui for that whole part of the game it's abysmal.

Still havent been to DC, decided to do a load of minute men quests and try level up before I go. Finally got a few wrapped up today after being in work all weekend so reckon ill head there tomorrow after college. I keep thinking that I carry too many weapons, really annoys me the way I cant sort them by ammo types.

Oh btw, has anyone been to the
    Radar Array Station
? Not a major spoiler, I picked up a distress signal and followed it and after a while got lead there, boy oh boy is there a lot of super mutants, think I need to mini-nuke it!

Have done 40 minutemen missions, 30 BOS of each type from the police station. Couldnt be arsed with the railroad they are dumbasses.

Some of the BOS tech mission can be done totally by stealth.

I just do not understand how anyone could consider that anything other than a giant waste of their time. I did, maybe, three or four of the Minutemen repeating missions, and will never do any more, because why on Earth would I do the same thing again and again? Blows my mind.

I'm sure there will be mods, but for me it's too little too late. I'm going to play through this once and probably never again. What good is a mod or a patch six months after I've left the game behind?

Main reason is find new locations and they are fairly easy. I was getting nearly 1 level for every 2 missions completed thanks to the Lovers Embrace perk.

Hence being level 44, they are very very boring tho. The BOS ones are much better but some are exceptionally hard.

Restarted yesterday, got to DC then restarted again. Hard to get the character to look right as what's good in the starting mirror often only needs one particular shade of lighting to really show up everything that was wrong - but finally got it right this time. Also fixed my stats and playing on survival, compared to first blind play with horrendous build on normal.

    .

    Diamond City
There's a plastic surgeon there, no need to restart the game.

i am around lvl 30+ and have no combat perks just crafting int and charisma with the carry weight perks, so after a few days of playing my high intelligence finally had a use. That ship place.. epic.. maxed out robotics and so far its been fairly useless.

wow im like only lvl 10

Any pointers for levelling up faster

Asked in the other thread but Ill ask here aswell: Do weapons not wear out in this? I don't see the repair option on my Pip boy, also is there any way to just leave the minigun to the suit and not have to be equipping it every time I get out?

Also on pc how do you actually hang the suit on the rack at the rocket diner? I walk up to it and anyhting I do just makes me get out of it and leave it standing in front of it...

I've discovered the joy of stomping around in strength-boosting power armour wielding a rocket-boosted, tesla-coiled sledgehammer. I'm basically a space marine right now. Can't wait to get jump jets.

While out exploring sans-power armour I came across some gunner enclave, including a guy in power armour and a cowboy hat up on a highway shooting down. I could barely scratch him with a sniper rifle and the angles were all horrible. So I went off, got the power armor and my new doom hammer, and stomped my way up to confront him. But it turns out I was a level below him, and while I was smashing up his underlings he jumped down to joint the fray with a huge BOOOOOM! And I started bashing him with the doom hammer and knocked him right off the highway, and then leap off after him and we battled under the bridge until I lay over his crackling, broken corpse.

This game can be wonderful at times.

I'm really pissed off you have to be level 41 before you can build jump jets though. What on earth is the point in locking them away like that? They just sound fun.

Nope, weapons/armor (except Power Armor) don't degrade in Fallout 4 which is a little Immersion breaking.

Exit the suit infront the the armor rack and then look at the Armor rack and press 'E' to craft, the armor will then turn the correct way when you start the modifying actions.

I'm aware - but you can only edit your existing face. There was no option to start from an old template from what I saw, like the char-creator allows, which is what I wanted to do. So I did it, with no regrets.

EDIT: Yep, no feature (bottom right). I'd rather start over in such a case as you could end up spending tonnes of money with repeat/incessant edits trying to fix what you called broken. Looks OK in both lights (heck I didn't realize until now she had a kind of Cercei [GOT] face) but as soon as you go into other lights/angles, she'd look like she was fresh off a face-butcher table).

Anyhow, happy with my (3rd) character (and her talents/perks) so I feel this will be my final push I think.

you can i did it, cant remember what i clicked on but you can move the face around and stuff.

Is it just me or are enemies only visible on the heads up display now. There used to be a green for friendly's and red dot for enemies but I'm only seeing red dots now. Unless I missed something.

Thoroughly disappointed with this. Fallout 3 was okay. New Vegas was a step in the right direction. This is a tedious shooter. It's a very clunky interface too. After 3 days of play. I'm going to give up the ghost. Even the radio stations are overly repetitive.

I might have to roll back the years with some of fallout 2.

Dont know how people can spend ages trying to design the perfect looking character. I had like an hour to play the game on release day and i rushed through it. Just looks like the default guy with blue eyes, a scar and goatee. Im so creative.

Same. Designed my guy in 5 minutes - and he looks the same as what you've just described. Don't know how people would have the patience to spend an hour on their first play! I'm 7 hours in and have just been doing side quests, I like the game a lot but it's not quite grabbing me the way Fallout 3 and New Vegas did. I think the radio guy is seriously repetitive and often a bit of a chore to listen to.

The silver shroud stuff is hilarious as a female vaultdweller :D She does the voice brilliantly. I'm continuously impressed by this game and i still haven't even been in to DCity (100 hours on record in steam atm) although i did restart twice, about 20 hours in and again at around 50 or 60 so yeah.. skyrim levels of gametime on this little beaut :)

You are doing it all wrong! Stick on Classic Radio and enjoy incinerating Ghouls while listening to:

Nothing better than roaming the Wasteland listening to Classic Radio. :D
