I'd flipping love that, always wanted a PS. However that is about as far as you'd get from a car I can see CIP in I reckon!
He comes across as a chap that has his head at least half screwed on so ST/GTI/Cupra is what I'd reckon!

Brakes on the RX8 still work.

Thanks to the person doing 60 in the fast lane on the M1 for testing them for me.

Golf GTI...two birds, one stone and all that.

    Congrats on the job.

Thanks I'd definitely consider one of them can be got in 5 door. You would probably end up going to the UK to get a decent one. As a kind of an inbetween a mk6 1.4 tsi 160bhp ish would be an option too you'd definitely be hitting the UK for one.

Not sure about showing up in that car to work. It would have to be professional looking as after a while I might have to go to the odd off site meeting etc. I know you were only taking the piss anyway :)

I'd say an ST then, for that weird and mad 5 pot burble, 225bhp and more if you want to go the SG route.

It's seems that they are a lot less refined than the likes of a gti though maybe a bit too hardcore sports car for me.

That gets to me, you drive what you want and fcuk anyone else who thinks it's odd or not pro...

I attend very serious meetings, both within our organisation and with other internationals.

I am parked everyday in work in a slammed e36 with big mad wheels.
I was apprehensive to be fair at the beginning, but it has actually become a massive topic for chat and my plant manager etc have all stopped when leaving etc to grab a look and a quick chat.

It stands out like a sore thumb :)

It turns out that like many guys, some of them were car guys when younger and actually love seeing it going on!

Buy as you want, I'll grab a pic tomorrow in work to show how ridiculous it looks :D

Try a clapped out 21 year old Renault with a rattly release bearing..

Doesn't stop me from turning back to look at it all shining in the church car park each time :D

I was being serious. It's a lovely car.

And also what Yb said about driving whatever you want. You don't have to change your personality for some closed minded people who's idea of a professional looking car is a 1.4 diesel Peugeot.

    Haha!

Well the most amusing part to that is my car has spent pretty much its entire life in a church car park

People often think my car belongs to the manager/Owner when it's parked up :pac:

It is only a Maxol :pac:

It was pretty funny though on my internship when I met my boss for the first time and he rolled up in a Faded Red Nissan March from the 90's and I was sitting there in mine :D

Principal has a black 2014 mondeo. Granted it's the facelift, but people still get confused, even himself if they're parked side by side :pac:

Well, at least it was a March, not a Micra. :P

My principal had the boggo of boggo 2008 A4's, plastic steering wheel and all! The previous one had an unreal E-Class.

I'm not sure if that sounded like a personal hit on anyone here I didn't mean it like that. In fairness I wouldn't really call your 325i an unprofessional car at all. Other than being dropped and on big wheels its reasonably standard maybe not. I wouldn't be too worried about standing out but turning up in a modded out loud exhaust skyline would be too far for me not even just in work but on a personal basis Too.

But you were right above when you said I'd probably be a golf gti kind of person or similar a good mix of comfortable car and reasonable power too 200bhp would be loads to me when I'm not use to it. I don't think I could go much sportier than that if I haven't done the heavily modded thing at this stage I won't be doing it now. When I say heavily modded I'd be talking a lot more than your 325i. I'm gone too use to my creature comforts too which is probably a bad thing I b!tch about the Megane not having an autodimming rear view mirror ffs :pac:

My principal Had a Xantia, his wife also had one!
My lecturer in college over the years went from an e90 320d to a 330d to an e60 530d to an m5 to an e90 m3 :)

    Now he's in an 520d :(

I was just going to say he's living the dream then I read the last line how would you go from m3 power back to 520d.

Didn't take it as an insult anyway :)

You wouldn't loose out on creature comforts though, top end models are always loaded! My 99 e36 has dual climate, leather, a rear blind and auto-dimming mirrors to name a few.
It is also quite loud :pac:

Ya, the principal before this had a class 2008 auto c class. Had it since new, all beige inside. Was in it once or twice, when the shoe went down, the head hit the headrest instantly!

All other staff cars range drastically, from a new audi a6, a plethora of a4's and a3's, through to the likes of an octavia and then there's someone with a 97 corsa

New A6 and teachers complain about bad wages :pac: ah unfairness you generally get a good mix of cars outside any schools. You sometimes get the students that have the better cars than the teachers.

Thanks nice to get a job in Kilkenny too instead of Dublin / cork. It is actually probably the only place in Kilkenny that I could get which has good opportunities and is properly relevant to my degree.

That's because the students' cars would more than likely be funded by their folks in part or whole. Also, students don't have mortgages or families to take care of ;)

    I can't account for guys having babies....usually it's the women :P

Also, I'll bet he didn't have a better car than the teachers.
