A guy in my class had a baby in 6th year :pac:

Only one. I would of went to one of the less prestigious secondary schools should I say (not that it made any difference leaving cert is leaving cert) but anyway I'm not long turned 21 and 1/3 of my class at least haves kids and 3 are married and it was a class of under 30  I honestly could not imagine being married at my age mad stuff altogether.

I wish I was 21 again. Few more days and I will be 31. What have I done since I was 21, straight answer nothing.

New A6 and teachers complain about bad wages ah unfairness you generally get a good mix of cars outside any schools. You sometimes get the students that have the better cars than the teachers.

That's the exception though, think the OH has some serious job.

It's only the older teachers that have the decent cars, young ones can't afford shyt. Some of the old ones on the higher scales change their car every year or so, brand new ones each time.

I do feel quite young to have gotten the job I got but I suppose that's the benefit of getting to college asap although I know everyone doesn't get that opportunity. Seems the older you get the faster the time goes. No point looking backwards anyway you need to think of what you will do for the next 10 years :)

Where do you do that? It's a long time since I was on roller blades. I must have been 12 when I had a set.

I went to a "good" school, it was Marist funded. There were still all sorts there though; good and bad (and stupid). I believe I could have done just as well in any of the local schools but my folks insisted we all went

And I know what you mean re. marriage at this age, madness.

That is so true, I should really get a full time job.

Longford is the best place to play right now since it's the only proper hockey rink (ice hockey boards, inline hockey floor) in the south of Ireland. The other one is in Portadown, up north - haven't been there though.

There's teams from Dublin, Cork, Galway and other places and they usually train in indoor basketball courts.

That's a fair spin from me to go just for a training session.

If you want, you can come down Sunday 4th October, there will be league games from 10AM to 4PM and you can have a look and see if it's anything you'd be interested in at all. They wont charge you anything to have a look either.

Ah no it is grand. I would have been mad interested in that when I was younger. Do you ever find the skates weaken you ankles if you use them excessively, happened me when I was around 12 but I wore them in the morning and took them off at night for a few months, my ankles went to shít, I kept spraining my ankle for a few years.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,925 ✭✭✭GvidoR

It's never too late to start playing. :)

About the ankle thing, maybe you didn't tie the skates tight enough!?

I don't know, I get the funniest feeling about that car, I may be just crazy, but I almost suspect it could possibly be a cut'n'shut...
No reason, just this crazy hunch out of the blue.

I was referring to the fact that he's looking for a grand for a non taxed/tested 16yo Micra but now that you mention it!

It looks good like that, but those pop-up headlights don't suit the car at all, imo.

Are those short Micras road legal?? I mean, the original one is barely road legal it's so awful!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,925 ✭✭✭GvidoR

They could've made the headlights thin, similar to the Galant and have them where indicators and fogs are.

You could send it through the NCT and see what happens.

Good luck explaining it to the insurance though. :pac:

Don't think they'd have met height regulations in the U.S.

Mondeo battery was flat this morning. Jumped it and off I went. Think a new battery is on the cards. Can't say for sure as it's covered and didn't get a chance to take a proper look, but I have a feeling it's the original. I haven't changed it in 3 years of ownership, and I doubt if it was changed in the 4 before that. That's possibly 7 years out of a battery!

Car we had a few years ago had it's original opel battery in it until it died when the car was 8 years old.
