Ugh. I have a serious want for an 8 Series.

I've always had a serious want for an 8 series even briefly considered one before I bought my old 330.

It might not be the height of ambition but if I ever won the lotto I'd certainly be having one in my car collection. There only going to increase in value to imo.

A user here Matt Simis had an ultra rare 850CSi. He moved to NZ and had the car shipped over

I remember that car well. I was only looking on pistonheads the other week and there wasn't even one in the UK for sale was starting to doubt myself that an 850 existed.

Also looked at e30 m3 and jasus there going mental money now.

He also had an immaculate 500sec didn't he? That he imported from the UK.

Don't think that got taken to new Zealand.

He did indeed have one but he sold it before he left.

He had two of my dream cars think the want for a 500 sec came from action movies I watched as a kid :o.

It looks good like that, but those pop-up headlights don't suit the car at all, imo.

Dissing pop up headlights?:eek::eek: I mean, just look at it! (swoons)
Wash your mouth out with soap for this kind of blasphemous talk here! What's next? Complaining about gullwing doors? That's a paddling!
Everyone knows that a car with popup headlights is ALWAYS cooler than a car without, FACT!

The amount of people I've been noticing recently who are just retarded with their road positioning. Approach T junction, turning right, take left most position on the road with right indicator..... Such gombeens!

Shouldn't he wash his hands instead since he typed it!? :P

Maybe so, but it would be more fun getting him to eat a bar of soap...:p;)

Mondeo battery was flat this morning. Jumped it and off I went. Think a new battery is on the cards. Can't say for sure as it's covered and didn't get a chance to take a proper look, but I have a feeling it's the original. I haven't changed it in 3 years of ownership, and I doubt if it was changed in the 4 before that. That's possibly 7 years out of a battery!

Car we had a few years ago had it's original opel battery in it until it died when the car was 8 years old.
The little old lady next door called in on me to look at her 02 Yaris that wouldn't start the other day. Muiltimeter on battery read 3.2V  Got it replaced for her and discovered it was still on the original battery, so that's 13 years!!

The battery in my wife's old Yaris also lasted a comparable time, although the replacement only lasted 6 months and had to be replaced under warranty :)

I have noticed a big lapse in roundabout use again of late.
It had got better, while not perfect, but it has taken a dive with guys in the left lane going right with no indication.
Drives me mad because they have no awareness and turn across the front of your car without a worry!

You could send it through the NCT and see what happens.

Good luck explaining it to the insurance though. :pac:

Wouldn't pass the NCT as it was cut in half and welded back together.

Paid €1500.39 in full to NoNonsense insurance on 8th September, still waiting for the bleedin' insurance cert. They say I am covered but I've no idea what the delay is. I called them yesterday and they said they will see what the issue is and call me back later.

    Absolute joke...

Seems like you have misunderstood what I have said. I have nothing against pop up headlights, in fact I think they're awesome, but they don't suit all cars.

Again, this is matter of opinion. I like VAZ 2102, you may not, so there...

That is a disgrace, I paid mine last Wednesday and had it by Friday!

Am I right in thinking you should receive your tax renewal form about 8 weeks before its due?

My tax is up on the 10/15 and still no sign.

Don't tell me you actually write your card details on that piece of paper and send it off by post.

It's much easier to do it online and you don't have to wait for any forms.

No I usually go into the tax office and pay up front handier for me :).

Just this is my first time taxing this car so find it strange I haven't received anything at all.

12 years is a long life for a car battery.

Lately I've also noticed a couple of Garda cars not indicating. Are they exempt from doing so?

Didn't you know? They're exempt from every rule of the road.

Man... you've no idea how much I'd love to torch the bastard. I'd probably orgasm from the joy of it.
