Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Good game. Definitely keeping me on the seat. But playing dangerous in the Irish half mostly. And lot of errors by both teams. But Ireland are taking it away

Irish Times have one and ESPN seem to be working on one for the World Cup.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,573 ✭✭✭pajor

I always do the Irish Times one for the RWC and 6 Nations. Gets a nice bit of sibling rivalry going.

I'm watching the Euro qualifier on TV. There's a new Dutch sports channel showing it.

I'm watching on a crap stream because RTE player doesn't work on Linux (the OS our projector PC uses).

We'll officially have to stop bringing up Henry now, we're all square with the house again in terms of handball decisions. :pac:

Spot on so far, unfortunately! They are getting a physical battering. Two players injured already.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,573 ✭✭✭pajor

That is one of the most undeserving rugby victories I have ever seen.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,776 ✭✭✭Jhcx

They played a very unfair game. They cheated but made it legal. For most of the game we spent it on the ground trying to protect ourselves. There was absolutely no need for the physical assault on players. I've seen games that were rough but kept you on the edge of your seat that game though boring and brutal. As for the ref I hope he hands in his notice.

Lads. Connacht are looking absolutely fantastic so far. Beautiful rugby.

Anyone else have a preference for who wins in the Madrid derby/Champions League final tonight?

My love for Connacht continues to grow (and I type this sitting in Dublin...whoops.) Raging I'm not in Galway tonight!

The place will be electric tonight, I'd say. It'd be an expensive night for a last minute hotel booking!

I'm even happier that they won it playing so well. It was great entertainment, for the first hour anyway.

Just got home from being out. Wasn't expecting the final to have run into extra time!

    Going into penalties now. Tense!

The Champions League should never end in penalties.

2-2 so far. All lovely spot-kicks.

    Bale up next...

Don't care if he wins Champions Leagues, Ronaldo is still an asswipe.

I dunno, I like him. Then again, I'm a Man United fan, so I may be biased in his favour. :P

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,009 ✭✭✭✭wnolan1992

Was watching the Connacht match in a Dublin pub. Have to admit, wasn't expecting such support for Connacht there! Was initially worried that one of the lads at our table would get in a fight because of his rather vocal support. :pac:

Delighted they won though, for no other reason than I like a good underdog story.

Just keep playing 15 minute halves until someone either scores, or one team has no players standing. :pac:

I think you mean "Robbie 'Jesus Christ' Brady"? :P

If they win this match, we can never, EVER talk about Henry again, 'cos on first viewing, that penalty was dodgy as all hell. :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,068 ✭✭✭LoonyLovegood

The referee sister said it was a penalty, so I'm taking that it was a penalty.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,009 ✭✭✭✭wnolan1992

This is what happens when Ireland get an early lead. :(
