    http://www.sportsjoe.ie/mma/salaries-for-ufc-189-fighters-revealed-and-conor-mcgregor-is-at-least-half-a-million-richer/32145

payments.....i hope something special is done for MacDonald and Lawlor. 59k for macdonald is a bargain for THAT fight for the UFC. yeah he got an extra 50k but the two of them went to war and back so imo deserve a few bucks or something. is there a hall of fame for fights? perhaps there should be. a list of the UFC recognized wars that a novice fan can go to and watch the very best of the UFC.

You can be sure they got a little extra "locker room bonus" for that scrap. The amount of publicity and fame that fight will get for the UFC in the next 5 months will be massive, FOTY awards from every publication.

They might not see a lot of extra money immediately, but you'll see a change in the way those two will be marketed by the UFC, and deservedly so, what a pair of gladiators.

Seery getting more than Pendred must say something about how Dana etc. feel about Pendred's performances.

No it doesn't. Pendred is probably still on a his TUF contract where as Seery just signed a new deal.

when you break down Pendreds payment, it really is pretty crap.

Its €9000. Thats before tax. So take it his training camp was 8 weeks. Thats only €4500 per month before tax.

Lets be honest, its not exactly life changing money is it. Especially for all the hard work.

That contract Pendred got locked into is criminal. Guy is 4-1 in the UFC (regardless of peoples opinion on whether he deservedly won or not) and is still on the very bottom tier. Just doesn't seem right, i know nobody forced him to sign it but i can't help but feel for the guy.

if he was 0-4 and had no chance of being re-signed then it was a good deal if ya get me

Thought he was to receive around 3 million from the pay per views etc?

yes he will get a few million from the PPV % when they release the numbers.

That was just his base pay minus any bonuses.

Will Mendes get a share of the PPV?

I know he wouldn't get close to what Conor was getting because he did way less media but he still deserves a cut.

Lawlor and McDonald definitely deserve a cut of the PPV. I don't think the 60k Rory got would even pay for the reconstructive surgery his face needs.

Seen this earlier, this is interesting given whats happened with aldo.

i dont hear it myself ( any of it tbf) so ill just have to trust what others hear.

whats important though if it is actually what was said, imo , is whether conor said it out of frustration/ dislike with/for aldo or whether he said it because he knows more than just the rumors floating round the internet.

also nice to hear conor offer a bit of genuine appriciation/ respect like that.

A 2 week camp minus the time needed to cut weight is just crazy, I think Conor is acknowledging this in the above video.

Also is it true Mendes was filming a hunting show when he got the call up?

It was all over the mighty sherdog that Conor failed his pre fight drug test, these rumors are all total horse ****,Aldo passed his test end of story.

sorry whats that about conor failing a test? i missed that?

ah id think it is horse ****, but (and id have to read over it again) all that confusion involving the two companies which are involved with testing sounded a bit suspect. dont get me wrong though, my favorite fighters are the lower weight devisions, ive said that before aldo included, but a gut feeling tells me theres no smoke without fire.

Bet you'd love it to be.....why not mention McGregor's knackered knee ligaments in you rumours? his change of opponent in 2 weeks and losing 2 stone in a week

Any idea when they will actually announce what Conor's injury was? I know it's long rumoured to be an MCL. Wondering is it a tear or a rupture though.

I could be wrong but i dont think it will actually be realised. i say this cause conor really only mentioned it in relation to aldo. as in walking in with bumps and knocks, i understood it as just regular stuff that a fighter has to deal with rather than an injury that needs a doctors diagnosis.

    In my rumors

A simple question with a simple answer yes or no.

And if you honestly think that Mendes being absolutely gassed within two rounds, even after he spent a good chunk of those rounds on top of McGregor on the ground, is the same as Mendes with a full camp who can go all out for 5 rounds, ie the Aldo fight, then you really haven't a clue.

Good breakdown of the fight a little long but detailed (between 13:30 - 41 mins):

I'm not arguing the toss, I'm not the one stating opinions as facts where are you getting your clue? .....I'll take the word of a pro fighter (one that's fought McGregor) over someone off of that internet......how many rounds have you done in the octagon btw

How come Rory McDonald got so little for his fight?? He's been top 5 for years. 59k seems very little

That's taken from here, earlier in the thread. Just someone is using the dark theme and took a screenshot.

Edit: They actually quoted from Sherlock.

Those kicks were obviously planned for aldo.

Done the job in the end.

    What kicks debate?

People arguing whether conors kicks would make an impact on mendes gassing or not.

re the other post, i reckoned it was from here but didnt search tbf. it makes a pretty good point in terms of numbers. and its not an arguement in favour but anyone who thinks those kick wont do harm has never been kicked or punched in the stomach before. Your kidneys, lungs, ribs and other various vital organs would certainly be gassed from that number of kicks nevermind one or two.

What that Chad Mendes with a 2 week camp isn't gonna be anything close to Chad Mendes with a full camp? if you don't understand this then there is no hope for you
