    'Mumsy' types. Not all mothers (obviously), just the ones that bring every conversation back to their kids or the fact that they are mothers.

    I have children too and love them very much, but it is the incessent focus on children from the mumsy types that is really irritating.

    Eugh. I went to school with someone who is all sactimonious and self righteous because she spent her fertile years off in some far off nowhere land saving lemurs. What the actual f.uck?     These type of people who think that:
    1. Others are incapable of forming opinions on situations they haven't encountered.
    2. There opinion is worth more in a democracy based on their circumstances.
    and
    3. Because it happens to them the rules should be different.

    Chaps such as yourself are always telling people to read Bad Science by Ben Goldacre. Well, might I suggest you read Ben's other book which funnily enough, doesn't nearly as often get cited. Wonder why.

    You're ruining it for the rest of us!

    I think I'm becoming more tolerant with time. For example: I might think wearing skinny jeans with the arse hanging down is stupid looking and impractical, but I try not to let it bias me against a person. The same goes for any aspect of how they look, where they come from and so on.

    I find lack of empathy and narcissism to be bad qualities in a person, but that's not so inexplicable.
