    Peugeot steering leak

Might be best to drop Row a PM, he's your man for PSA stuff :)

Both my 406's used to have a terrible leak, one was caused by a metal pipe chafing off it's positioning bracket (an utter arse to change!) and the red car had a leak caused by a loose union at the back of the engine.

    407, I wouldn't have a clue about :o:(

Fair enough so, you know what they're like! Don't appear to be too pleasant :)

Took a spin out to Trim to get the RX good and hot, went to overtake a slow moving car and brought it to the redline on the way past. Went for third gear and it felt like the whole exhaust exploded. Like a bomb went off in the backbox. Thought the engine had blown for a moment before realising it was still turning and happily pushing.

But I can't help but wonder what it was like for the owner of the Citroen C1, to have that thing come screaming past at the top of 2nd gear, letting out an almighty backfire of the Gods as it passes the drivers door.

    Was like a ****ing gunshot.

A little hig-rpm exhaust popping is normal, but this was mighty. I think maybe it happened because I got back on the throttle right before the clutch went in.

It might also explain what killed the catalyst.

I must of got stuck behind every single Sunday driver on my way to cork this afternoon thought I'd never get here. Also my car has got to a whole new level of dirty you know it's bad when it's a struggle to open or close the boot without your hand getting filthy. Although the roads are terrible at the minute just constant dirt and mist being sprayed up.

The struggle is real. Thank God you never had to change a wheel, the amount of dirt on your hands would be unreal :pac:

I had to do that yesterday, with the car in a filthy state. Ruined my hands and clothes :(

I've changed a few alright my mother blew two tyres at the same time on the same side and I got the call. I don't mind getting my hands dirty but you don't want them every time you sit in the car to drive it after opening the boot.

It's just the weather and the state of the roads. When my dad collected his golf you'll see in the picture thread it was spotless all polished up and all. By the time we got home 160 km it was dirty all over very dirty at the back you'd swear it wasn't cleaned in months and it was clean 3 hours before. I think you'd be at nothing trying to keep cars clean at the minute.

Is this a new gt tdi you have as I remember you had one and I think it got damaged. Any pictures of it :)

Arah sure yeah I wouldnt normally be bothered washing anything that wasn't a classic like, I had a 115 brake tdi golf a few years ago but I think the one your talking about was the lambo green gttdi that my oh had for a while last year - that got written off so this is a new (to me ;)) gttdi 130 brake

No pics yet - sure I wouldnt be bothered it's only me daily but I might throw some up in the PAPOYCH thread at the weekend

Couldn't be as dirty as the yokes here. Sure have a gazoo at my yoke in the pic thread, that's spotless to me...

I picked up Forza 2 and Forza 4 for the Xbox 360, and I have to say the xbox feedback steering wheel is actually very good with these games. It wasn't so great with PGR 3 the game that was bundled with the wheel. I played it a bit today. I will have to pick up some washers and some screws tomorrow and secure it properly.

Still kinda jealous of your rig YbFocus. I have no clutch or gear stick. I do have paddle shift though.

My rig is primitive too really, although today messing around I managed to hook up my 100w guitar amp behind the seat so you really feel the noise :D

If you jack up the car the clamp will just come off the wheel. You could lower the car back down and drive off dragging a clamp or cable tie it to the subframe for stealth.

They once clamped me but with a different type of clamp it goes through the alloy so all the wheel nuts are basically still there to take the wheel off, which I was going to do and put the spare wheel on and once I got home take the clamp off, but in the end they just took it off, free of charge.

Must try that, although I was afraid of it ****ing with the sound too much!

I was driving a Maserati GranTurismo around the Nurburgring today, that v12 had the seat going strong! Thank god I ain't a lady :)

A V8 with exhaust cutouts does the same job!

I had got out of the whole lowered thing but lately I find myself endlessly wanting an e36 coupe.
I find this to be perfection, I thought I was finished with lowered cars!

An E36 328 Sport would make a stonking track car.

Each to their own and all that, but I wouldn't be a fan of the modifications. Obviously lots of time and money gone into it though.

    Depends on the car.

Also depends on the taste of the owner.

But I'm not a fan of things that negatively effect the basic function of the car.

Well you could always go M3 but a 328 would be less money and less hardship.

I love the wheels and the lowering, but for me personally its a bit too low.
You have to be able to live with it :)

I had absolutely ground scraping cars when I was younger, yes I was one of them :) Had a Focus I literally fired money at :o
