I've seen some ridiculous posts on Boards in my time, however, this may just take the biscuit :D

    Raise ya.....

What if she was a suicide bomber? She calls out to her god when she falls to the ground, in a similar way to the muslim jihadists.

Tell me about it. I'm on my third. The last one said I was the most obnoxious person they have ever had to deal with.

So how do you feel about Navan getting Dublin Tax money to pay for local services ? Since we are all about making things fairer and state handouts etc.

Of course you know smaller populaces have to be subsidised by larger populaces. you understand economics ?

Or is Meaths largest town beyond taking Dublin money ?

I can do up a chart if you like. Since you possibly 'dont' understand the concept.

There's no such thing as "Dublin Tax money". How parochial do you want to get?

Last time I looked Dublin gets its water from Wicklow, and still won't pay for it!

Taxation should be fair. At the moment, w.r.t. water supply it is unfair because a certain percentage of the population have to pay for water supply, the rest do not. IW was created to ensure everybody pays for what they use. How is that such a problem for so many?

Why do so many want an unlimited, unmetered supply of water, for nothing?

This crap keeps getting wheeled out and it's tiresome having to correct it.

What you'll with Irish Water is a new bill ON TOP OF the taxes you're already paying.

Plus you IW bill is going to pay for exorbitant costs of the likes of John Tierney, his pension(s), his bonuses (for nothing), his new gym etc, etc. which is inevitably and unnecessarily pushing up the cost of your bill.

That's why Irish Water is a problem for so many.

Jesus...if it was just metered for what people actually used, there wouldn't be an issue for the majority of people.

Oh there is though, the tax money of the Dublin Population alongside the likes of Cork and Galway is used to subsidise the rest of the nation. Towns like those in Meath that on their own would not be in a position for their local town councils to pay for things. Its the way the nation works. I have no problem with that. Its economics.

Oh and the same Dublin population including businesses pay vast portions of VAT VRT and business rates for Poulaphouca upkeep and maintenance.

But sure you knew that already .

    no ?

They are trying to hand the poison chalice to Labour. Sure look at Alan Kelly being sent out to the forefront talking to the media and doing PR exercises. We rarely seen that with Hogan.

Phil Hogan couldn't relate to the public if his life depended on it.

I've had the misfortune to talk to the man face to face. One of the most inarticulate politicians I've ever met.

No wonder he was shipped off to Europe. He doesn't have to do anything there but say "yes".

Now that's how you do it. The democratic right to protest peacefully exercised and respect shown all around. Fair play to them.

    Fair play to them, yes.

And fair play to the Thousands that turned out in Dublin in October and nationwide in November.

And those that will turn out in December. These people are looking after the rights of everyone. And drawing a sand in governmental sponsored waste.

I don't get what you are posting and its relevance to Irish Water.

Are you saying Foxrock revenue should be shared with Neilstown, because they fall inside the same County boundary, but not with Naas by the same logic??

By changing tack, so much, you are losing your argument. The IW debate is about asking people to pay their fair share for a Utility. You have failed to counter this.

she wasnt. you clearly havent a breeze about the injunction.

it does NOT apply to homeowners.

The guard was clearly taking her and the neighbours names to insure they wer the homeowners.

Ahh Beaner, you claim to know so much. But with each new post.... i mean....

I haven't changed tack, I have been explaining things that you have no grasp of. I have not lost an argument with you yet. As you have yet to counter anything i have said with a valid response .

I dont know why ? Why wont you counter the posts properly ?

The fact you think the IW debate is about payment of a water charge is evident that you dont know what the debate is about. Read the thread from the start would be a word of advise.

It is blatantly not about paying a utility.

It is all about a tax. Everything else is a red herring.
