Unlucky, wonder how they knew it was a phone in the package? The missing box was just plain brown cardboard on the outside aswell, someone with access to an X-Ray machine at work maybe?

Has anyone found a decent replica of the OnePlus cable on Alliexpress or DealExtreme or any of the others? Im finding none of my MicroUSB cables match it, none of them charge it faster than 50% speed of the red cable, 2 of them just make the charging icon appear but dont actually charge it so I gave those away.

My ordinary micro usb charger charges it for me.

I have to say, the charger is hideous, with the red cable. I'm using an ordinary black usb->micro, with a fast charger power unit.

Here's the one I got, not available at the moment, but bound to be an equivalent available.

Edit to add, there's a newer version of the old one I have, fast-charges 4 devices at the same time.

Not trying to excuse Nightline but shipping it in a padded envelope is woeful!

Hey could you advise how fast this charger charges it? Will it not cause damage no?

The only things in the envelope were the charging unit in its box and a UK/Irish plug. It is gone to the claims department in ParcelMotel.
The envelope had been damaged and tape from Nightline put on it.

This is the photo of check in at ParcelMotel:

    parcelmotelcheckin_zpsd2486d18.jpg

Did night line note damage to the package when receiving it ? Or did the damage happen in their care.
Maybe contact Royal Mail with your shipping number and try find out if any info is available on their side ?
Its either been stolen from one plus to PM by someone in royal mail or from PM to you by one of the drivers.

Parcelmotel had to sign for it so it was up to them to check the paperwork against the contents. I've used them a lot and the one time I received damaged goods they were excellent to deal with - got a very speedy refund.

I've had the phone one day so far, so not exactly a proper test. Only did a partial charge with that charger... it was 40% when I plugged it in. no damage that I noticed anyway. plugged it in, walked away for 2 hours, phone was 100% when I picked it up. I used the standard -charge rather than the fast charge port on the device.

Nah sorry, I have chargers, Im looking for the cables, theres something slightly different about the OnePlus cable I think. Has anyone seen a good alternative on Alliexpress etc?

Could go for this http://vifocal.com/usb-cable-for-oneplus-one-smartphone-4g-lte-3g-wcdma-16gb-64gb.html bit pricey though and could be waiting awhile.

I'd buy another blackberry charger and downgrade the red cable for data If it was me though.

I've only skimmed the start of this thread, but you may find what you need here. Personally I've not noticed any notable difference in charging times with different cables, only with chargers. Anything apart from my original charger or my HP Touchpad chargers and charging times crawl.

What length is your cable? My microusb is about 6 inches long, it sits on my desk which has sockets built in. I'll get a battery charge app for some stats, but I didn't think it was slower than the 1+1 charger.

Works very well. Charges at a fast rate, is cheap and comes with adapters for Europe, Asia and the US. It's the best charger I ever bought so I bought 6 in total, 1 x kitchen, 1 X living room, 1 x bedroom, 1 X office and 2 for travelling.

Just to add, I bought an extension lead in Aldi recently that had 2 USB points that were 2A, and seem to be charging quite quickly.

Kicking myself for not buying more now, its the ultimate charger, that + the great powerbank they reduced to a tenner in Aldi recently is travel sorted.

I've had the OPO since the end of July. Love it! Can't fault it!

Currently using an Xperia Z3 Compact at the moment too for review purposes. Would find it impossible to go back to a smaller screen after using the OPO.

Had the last few Xperia phones, so all 5+ inch. But I find the 5.5inch size of the OPO ideal.

Haven't received any invites to share since I bought the OPO, which is disappointing.

Out of curiosity, how long did it take any recent buyers to receive their OPOs. Can get mine delivered to house in Belfast so don't have to worry about Parcel Motel and am already regretting not selecting express shipping!

Got mine in July, but only took 3 days with the express shipping :)

Might take longer now, if there's more being shipped and more invites available?

A week for me but that was a while ago some have been getting them 3/4 days.

Express shipping is a waste it sometimes takes longer than standard shipping.

Ordered mine on a Saturday night (4/10/14) got it at midnight the following Wednesday - normal shipping.

Was there any paper work in the packaging that the phone arrived in please?
ParcelMotel are looking at videos of their warehouse in Belfast so just need to know what should have been in the packaging?

I could have to chase DHL by the look of things.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,181 ✭✭✭✭Thargor

Dont remember sorry, probably a printed A4 receipt, it would be odd not to get one. I just dont get how you could identify it as a OnePlus from the packaging unless they were opening loads of packages and got lucky.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,309 ✭✭✭✭wotzgoingon

There was no receipt or paperwork in the packaging.

    Here's what came with mine:

    325527.jpg

Unfortunately for you it was just loose inside the envelope rather than under plastic & stuck to the outside.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,181 ✭✭✭✭Thargor

Yeah I had that aswell actually, I remember noting the adapter charger and phone listed as 3 separate things.

Thanks folks, there was no delivery note in mine.
Just need to know all the details, hopefully it will be sorted quickly.

Is it still worth it to buy one of these? Are they still good value for money? Currently on an S3 running Cyanogenmod and wouldn't mind changing it up.
