One plus & cyanogen have promised to have it updated within 3 months.

Cyanogen are promising 3 months after the source is released. So late this year, early next year. Probably be quicker than that tbh, hard to know until the source code drops and they get a look at it.

It used to take Pawitp, the maintainer for the Samsung Galaxy S, about a month to push out an alpha build whenever a new version of Android was released. So maybe December?

Think I had the same thing. You have to manually select the update file. Look at the directory entry that's there when the phone reboots and go through the file directory and select it.

Wha'cha mean by that, I don't quite understand

It won't even download the update file for me

Nexus 6 is so damn expensive and offers slightly higher specs than the oneplus one, I feel that the oneplus one is the bargain of the year with all the big brands selling identical or inferior phones for at least twice the price. I am still waiting for my invites .

Just updated to 38R and having root access, haven't notices any difference yet!!!

Any idea when the Android Lollipop will be released for the oneplus one?

Got a single invite yesterday - ordered the phone about 10 days ago.

Any chance you can send that my way please? Price and size of Nexus too much for me!

I'd say there is alot of people around the world who were waiting on new nexus and seen the price and are now looking to get Oneplus one.

True. I'd been after the OPO for months but wasn't bothered enough to chase invites as I figured they'd sort out supply. Then I let it go on so long I decided I'd wait for the Nexus. Now that hasn't worked out as planned I'm back to looking at the OPO again!

Sorry gave it away on one of the opo threads here on boards a few hours ago. Will bear you in mind if I get another one.

Initially back to the UK but they batch them up and ship them back to China. Turn around time is 3-4 weeks apparently. <-- I just gleaned this info from the OPO forum, I don't have direct experience.

Hi folks sorry about this but looking for advise please.
Got notification from ParcelMotel to collect my parcel. Went to collect and the bag had tape on it, resealed during transit.
Opened the bag to find only a charger and UK socket in it. No phone. To say I am mad is an understatement now.
I have contacted ParcelMotel who have looked for photos etc.
    Where do I stand please?

Sorry to hear that man. Did you have extended liability ?

They could have just sent the phone and charger in 2 different packages. They've did that before.

Yes thank God. I am so peed off with them now. I had a package go missing before that was sent to ParcelMotel, this has really topped it though.

Is the invoice with it and if so does it state phone & charger. Even if Parcelmotel cough up you still have the pain of getting another invite etc :(

If I get another invite I'll definitely keep you in mind.

So the N6 is way to expensive, I've been waiting until Google announced it to see what the price was going to be along with the specs of the phone before deciding on either the one plus one or the N6.

So it is the 1+ for me I think.

I'm just looking for some honest feedback from 1+ users. Are you happy that you bought it or on reflection maybe it hasn't met your expectations?

    Thanks all.

They usually photograph packages on arrival, I see scans of mine on weighing scales when I log into my parcel motel account.

My phone arrived yesterday (via parcel motel, perfectly intact), am delighted with it.

Was it the OnePlus box (the red gift box with inlays for the cable and sim tray tool etc) with the phone removed or what? What did you actually receive?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,180 ✭✭✭✭Thargor

Has anyone found a decent replica of the OnePlus cable on Alliexpress or DealExtreme or any of the others? Im finding none of my MicroUSB cables match it, none of them charge it faster than 50% speed of the red cable, 2 of them just make the charging icon appear but dont actually charge it so I gave those away.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,206 ✭✭✭Lucas Hood

Yeah they work really good. Can't go wrong for the price.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,576 ✭✭✭digitaldr

Try this charger - a bit ugly but the 3 I bought work really well. Seems to charge opo really well - I'll do a direct comparison with the opo charger and report back here.

    Edit beaten to it!

The only things in the envelope were the charging unit in its box and a UK/Irish plug. It is gone to the claims department in ParcelMotel.
The envelope had been damaged and tape from Nightline put on it.

This is the photo of check in at ParcelMotel:
