I really like my iPhone ear buds (latest ones) but the mic & buttons don't work with the opo. I've ordered this converter from eBay. Wouldn't be too fussed about the buttons (even if one works I could use the headset button controller app like I did with my Moto G) but definitely need the mic to work. If it doesn't do the job I've read that the Amazon premium headset works well with the opo.

If I avoid voice calls and browsing I could get away with 5 days battery if I was going camping or something:

Click Screen, how long it that on for? I'm a light user and I get on average 2.5 days with 5 hours on screen time and maybe a couple of calls. Version 25R.

After my initial concern about the battery the other day it lasted 1 day 8hrs or so.

I've been on the look out for a good theme. Using themer at the min but I might have a look for some I can use with cm11

Edit: just checked and got the update there, just to wait for WiFi st home this eve

on 33R and I am also a light user, 2.5 days is very doable as at the end of the day my phone has still 65%.

I was in meetings all day so definitely not representative of normal usage, just saying though, if you were going on a long trip camping or hiking, using Airplane mode you could stretch out the charge to a few days, haven't been able to do that with a phone for years. I get about 2 days normal usage though...

You'd be better off not depriving yourself and just bringing a power-pack to top it up over the course of those few days :pac:

Yeah I always have one of these in the car.
Charges the one plus nearly as quick as the cable supplied.

Dont suppose anyone has one of those Duracell power banks that were all the rage in Boards Bargain alerts for months a while back and has tried it on the OPO? I have 2 of them somewhere and they were very handy for bringing traveling.

The OTA update downloaded and won't install, sigh.

Says "Finding Update package... E: Unknown volume for path... E:Cant mount storage...installation aborted"

Any tips? Can I wipe the download and try again?

I've set up a few profiles - no code on lock screen for home wifi, face recognition when away from home network (sadly no wifi at work) and everything on silent when I'm asleep except for calls and texts.

Does face recognition unlock use a lot of battery. Is there anyway to geofence profile switching?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,180 ✭✭✭✭Thargor

I dont trust face recognition, both in battery terms and in security terms, it will screw you over and lock you out of the phone just as you need it at some point.

The profiles on this seem to be hit and miss. I use AutomateIt Pro to automate must stuff and it works great.

well if the nexus 6 price 649 dollars is accurate, i'd say theres a fair few lads in here delighted with their onepluses:pac: id hazard a guess that 649 dollars is the 32gig too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,180 ✭✭✭✭Thargor

Just said the exact same thing in the Nexus thread.

Play.google.com is down for me... wondering if they are updating the site with n6 info

    Nexus 6 Specs

    Display
    5.96” 1440x2560 display (493 ppi)

    Battery
    3220 mAh

    Camera
13MP rear-facing with optical image stabilization
    2MP front-facing

    Processor
CPU: Qualcomm SnapdragonTM 805 - Quad Core 2.7 GHz
    GPU: Adreno 420
    Memory: 32 GB, 64 GB

Better screen, bit more battery, image stabilisation and slightly faster processor.

$699 (= €550) for the 64GB version unlocked so in value for money terms I think the OPO still wins and it has CM which is probably a better user experience.

Think I had the same thing. You have to manually select the update file. Look at the directory entry that's there when the phone reboots and go through the file directory and select it.

Nexus 6 is so damn expensive and offers slightly higher specs than the oneplus one, I feel that the oneplus one is the bargain of the year with all the big brands selling identical or inferior phones for at least twice the price. I am still waiting for my invites .

Just updated to 38R and having root access, haven't notices any difference yet!!!

Any idea when the Android Lollipop will be released for the oneplus one?
