I got it earlier - go into Settings -> About Phone -> Update and check for latest update.

How long till the update is OTA? No sign of it for me yet.

if you're stock and not rooted, you can download the file and just flash it on. it really was easy peasy lemon squeasy for me.

I tried the about phone and updates but no sign.

I'm on 33R, I had the phone rooted on the first build think it was 28 but then updated and lost root access, would it be OK to flash that file I wonder?

it should be. if you are running stock and have no root, it worked for me.

    https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95747613655042878

stick that on your download folder on the phone

    power off

volume down + power........that gets you into recovery

then find the zip and install

then go back and wipe cache

    then reboot

    then happiness.

PLEASE NOTE....DO SOME RESEARCH FIRST ON XDA AND ONEPLUS FORUMS BECAUSE IM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF THINGS GO WRONG!

BUT ITS REALLY EASY TO DO.

No update available for me yet, it doesn't bother me much as I am on 33R and rooted, so when I will have the update available will I loose the rooted option? if yes what's the best thing to do in order to have it rooted again? thanks.

That is a stock 38R and rooted. Do you have a custom recovery? If so just flash it and you should be good top go.

    Worked a treat

    Thanks

Just got the update, pretty cool! Like what they have done with the icons, do you if it is possible to change the color for a particular app icon?

Pretty sure I saw that issue been fixed in the 38 update.

Now if only the update would show for me. Won't chance flashing as I was rooted before last update.

You will lose root when you update but if you flash this you will have 38R and be rooted.

    Oh cool thanks.

Do you just copy it into storage, boot into recovery and install?

Yes. But I think you need to have a custom recovery to do it. I'm actually 100% you need a custom recovery.

I use swype as my keyboard. But I chose to use the stock keyboard to see if that happens for me and it does not. It is working properly for me.

That issue is not happening for me either. Although I normally use a different keyboard.

    Hi Folks,
I've the problem with my One plus one that if I have have wifi and bluetooth on my internet speed gets reduced to nothing, unusable actually. Once I turn off bluetooth, it's perfect. Anyone have this problem or know of a fix. Love the hardware but find it buggy as hell.

Someone else had this issue in this thread. Just go back through and you might find a solution. Cant remember what they did.

Can I go straight to that from 25R without the intermediate steps?

I created a backup from custom recovery and copied the file to my computer, I presume that in case I reset the phone I would need to do all the rooting again, copy the backup file to the phone storage and from custom recovery restore it, is that right?
I am doing this because I want to install the rooted 38r update from custom recovery and in case something happens I have at least a back up  (as I am not sure about the exact steps to follow to update the ROM)

My understanding is that it's not possible.

    Thanks Irishrover.
I remember reading something about it on this at the time. I think the suggestions was to turn off bluetooth. Surprised not more people are having this problem. If no one turns up a fix, I may just root and install a custom rom. My one is way too buggy.
Thanks for getting back to me.

    Hi Damien,

It's a known issue. 2.4Ghz WiFi doesn't perform well with Bluetooth turned on. If you have a dual band WiFi router just use the 5Ghz band and you'll be fine. If you only have 2.4Ghz you need to power off the phone and then use the WiFi without turning Bluetooth on. Turning off Bluetooth isn't enough, you need to re-boot to clear the settings.

I'm sure this will get fixed in a future update as it's a known reported issue.
