    We are not signing Kroos.

What does he have left on his contract?

I never really believed we would get him. Just using us as bargaining tool for a better contract.

    What does that matter?

You agree or disagree with my point?

Could have said the exact same about Rodgers last season...didn't turn out too bad this one.

    Do you agree,?

I think you are probably under estimating how much of a solid foundation that Moyes left him to build on at Everton, the defensive unit is excellent as a whole.

It allows the team to play the more expressive brand of football that Martinez likes, when he played the only way he knows how at Wigan it had slightly different results i.e. relegation.

You cannot understate the importance of having a solid core to a side, and its why people like me harp on about centre midfield so much. If Fergie had sorted the midfield when it should have been sorted then we wouldn't have had so many poor performances from so many players over the last few years.

Even the likes of Evra and Valencia would have performed significantly better were they not part of such a dsyfunctional team unit, in the same way that very limited players at certain other clubs are performing excellently due to playing in well organised and effective sides. Everton are a good example, that solid core from the likes of Barry and McCarthy allow a lot of good things to happen elsewhere.

We are 100% not going to sign Kroos.

Without a doubt, not a chance, definitely absolutely not

And you can quote me on that

We put out a B-team away in the Premier League and won 4-0, if thats a crap performance then I don't know what you want.

Couldn't watch it on Saturday, re watched on Sunday was fairly disappointed by most of our play. Goals were excellent tho.

Fabio was always a lb brought to the club a lb whats the point of this debate though ? He's useless

as Fjortoft said on twitter - so Kroos told his German team mates who told an English paper he's leaving for united.

Makes as much sense as From Dusk till Dawn the series. 3 Episodes in and where the **** are they going, ruining cinematic masterpiece.

I would say wing play is different to full back play.
Wingers switch to the opposite side so to cut in from the flank onto their good foot.
    Full backs are different.
Fabio is a right full in my opinion. I'm not going to keep debating the issue.
played right full in a CL final too. :pac:

One of those perfect moments when reminding someone that their opinion is wrong.

    :)

Edit: What I should say is, one of those perfect moments that proves that just because its someones "opinion" doesnt mean it cant be called wrong!

In other news, 35m fee rumours for Carvalho

    tumblr_lph564blDz1qk06zvo1_500.jpg

    Lotta money that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,615 ✭✭✭xtal191

So we're getting Kroos for 40ish million, Carvalho for 30ish million, Shaw for 20ish million. What about the other 100 odd million?

This summers going to be horrible for bull**** rumours, I just hope they get most their business done before the World Cup.

I don't know anything about Carvalho but if we are to spend that much on a midfielder it should be somebody who is world class.

Sorry to be a party pooper but the Kroos story is nothing. Completely made up.

John Cross is the mirror journo running with this

    https://twitter.com/kpsundayworld/status/453287340283531264

So Kroos tells his teammates he wants to join Man United and they tell John Cross of the mirror???

Cross is the same journalist who wrote this Mirror article

Wayne Rooney confides he wants to leave Manchester United for Bayern Munich

So lets say Moyes does miraculously sign all these players, spending the guts of 200m in the summer.

Would people seriously be happy with just finishing top 4 without challenging for the title after spending that much?

I for one would not be happy if he spent that amount and did not even have us challenge for the title. But then again it is Moyes and nothing would surprise me about him.

He took a team who were champions last year and has not even got us competing for a top 4 place and the team he left to come hear are now in with a great chance of finishing in the top 4.

How embarrassed must be feel now. I can't even imagine.

He has done a good job this season at Everton, struck gold by bringing in Lukaku on loan and a player like Gareth Barry being available also on loan made the team a much better one this season, for obvious reasons.

Refusing to acknowledge good work done by a previous manager is needlessly petty tbh. It is possible to give credit where its due on both sides

I think you misunderstood me. I haven't dismissed his previous work. My comment was that it seems like all the Everton fans, players and now chairman have all come out and seemingly dismissed him. They've beamed with praise for their new manager and the whole club seems to have been lifted to a new level. That's worrying to me as maybe that was his level and maybe he's not up to bringing a team beyond solid and steady.

Crossed with his left. Scored with his right. Spent his entire career playing as a left full. Loved him!

more of a left back for United, but probably 50/50 over his career.
Played at RB for 7 seasons with Leeds and Oldham, and then his whole first season at United (Blackmore on the left).

He was moved to the left when Parker was bought the following season, but still had a few spells at RB including the latter part of the 96 double season.

A good few, if not most, of his Irish caps would have been at right back also, several years where we had likes of Terry Phelan and Staunton at LB.
    Legend.

Here is the Mirror link, I didn't think there was one:
    http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/manchester-united-transfers-toni-kroos-3385343

But IndyKalia is reporting it so its almost definitely a lie.

Also to be considered if there is a lot of players bought it will take time for them to gel.

Their new manager brought in the solid core though, they were not Moyes players and that what we expected him to do at the start of the season.

Are we know saying the Moyes left Everton in a better state than Fergie left United ? :O

    Reus - 35 Million
    Cavani - 50 Million

15 Million - Few championship players.
