    do elaborate please...
granted i'm sure Moyes wasnt watching vidoes of Lescott, he has after all seen him in real-life day-to-day situations for a couple of years on the trot
and we may not even be in for him
my fear is though that moyes will be signing players closer to the lescott category than that of Mangala.

need I elaborate? You've already exposed yourself as talking nonsense.
We are not in for Lescott. Moyes is not watching videos of him.
You are taking a nothing story from a rag as gospel.

In fact, all indications are that Moyes is chasing world class players.
That's why I call your posts nonsensical.

I will elaborate on you talking nonsense. You said City are close to a signing because of newspaper talk.
Then you said Moyes was watching videos of Lescott plucked from your imagination which you then said your sure he wasn't.

the lescott link was just to provide an example
while it is an exaggeration, i wouldnt be overly surprised to see him being unveiled on the final day of the transfer window
unless moyes and woodward have got their sh*t together

up to now it is almost impossible to defend the moyes transfer approach
very little positive can be said about it

    Evra

I wonder will he start Wednesday. Buttner did a good job last week and it would be a harsh call to drop him.

    http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11945/9253809/uefa-champions-league-patrice-evra-confident-manchester-united-will-beat-bayern-munich

Isn't it a cert if he calls Evra to the press conference?
I agree though it would be harsh.

Forgive me if I don't take you seriously. Aren't you the guy who claimed mata was only ever a bit part player at Chelsea, and you don't know much about man utd before 1990.

    Football expert.

I'm all on for calling Moyes out when he has done something wrong (in my opinion as a fan which I am, and not an experienced Premiership Manager, which I'm not), but the sheer amount of undeserved sh!t being thrown at the man by some posters on here is incredible.

I wonder if we hadn't won the lague last year, would Moyes be getting the same level of bile thrown at him? We won a league last year for two reasons - RVP was phenomenal and the rest of the league were sh!te. Our squad was dire and I certainly feel SAF knew he was getting out at the right time because the squad was terrible.

Look, we are well in contention for a Champions League semi-final, we are playing some great football and our away record is the best in the league.

We have signed Juan Mata (I still rub my eyes in disbelief when I see him in red) and we look like bringing in some more top class players in the summer. We have plenty of reasons to be happy.

We all know the squad and first team is not good enough to compete against the likes of City, Liverpool and Chelsea right now but let's see what the summer brings. We also know that come this time next year, we will still have Moyes as manager so why not just get behind it and see what happens?

I can either choose to moan about our league position or look to Wednesday night to see if we can get past the European Champions. I choose the latter.

Maybe I'm in an ultra-good mood this morning, but I'm just going to go with things and see what happens.

    Thats good enough for me.
If United want to spend 40m on him, thats their business.
He is a good addition to a limited squad. No more, no less IMO.

Yes he was also talking here last Monday about how he wanted United to get hammered by Bayern for the good of the club.
Maybe he is still hurting from last week's result.

so - you're suggesting now that the league is no longer 'sh!te'?

we are well 'in contention' for a CL semi because a dis-interested bayern outfit turned up at OT with little respect for Moyes and his first 11. they'll set the record straight on Wed night, rest assured of that.

yes we have signed Juan Mata - this was an exceptional transfer coup given the interest from other top clubs, plus the fact that we started waving crazy money in front of the russian.

best of luck with your optimism, and enjoy another transfer window shambles in the summer. moyes will be hitting europe with factor 50 on.

I'm pretty sure he referred to us as clowns too - although it was unclear if he was talking about the player or charlton and fergie.

    Great fan!

plus - we were in a really weak group CL and got extremely lucky in our tie with the greeks.
Moyes has stumbled his way to the QF with bayern

I wonder has Kagawa done enough to get a start tonight? Gonna need somebody very defensibly diciplined on the left wing if Evra is starting.

If he is played in his correct position maybe in time yes but in the long run he looks set to be out wide as long as Rvp and Rooney are in the same team.

37million for a player who can't play wide (let's be honest) is not a steal.

    B0llox.

City and maybe Chelsea yeah - though chelsea are crap up top - but we don't have a team to compete with LIVERPOOL? FECK OFF.

Player for player they are not better than our team. I would take our keeper and defenders. Suarez is world class and sturridge is having a great season - but we have Rooney and RVP (backed up by Welbeck and Chico - better than Aspas and....)

Liverpool have utterly outperformed us this season, obviously, and are playing much better football than us, obviously. They are clearly a better side - but that isn't down to squad quality, imo - it is down to a coach actually getting the best out of his players - something Moyes has failed to do with the vast majority. A United side playing to potential is as good/better than the liverpool side playing to potential, imo. Even if you argue livrerpool are better (when both playing to potential), and I will take that argument as having merit, there is no fecking they are nearly 30 points better than us.

Rodgers is the difference, imo. His attitude and coaching, in comparison to Moyes' fearful underdog and fitness work.

United have been abysmal in the league - that isn't because we have a completely useless squad - it is because we have been completely useless under Moyes.

I would agree (and have said) I don't think this team/squad is good enough to win the league - but we shouldn't be languishing so far outside the CL places, that is a disgrace and an indictment of the performances of the players and manager.

Best away record in the league - brilliant - pitty there is 'too much expectation' at Old Trafford, eh? Pity we have been too 'gung-ho' at Old Trafford, costing us those wins we deserved - but those 22 goals at home weren't scored with boring, predicatable, conservative, crap football.

    The great Jose Mourinho........

He didnt fit into Mourinhos "system" - that doesn't mean he can't fit into other systems. For example the system that went before at Chelsea under a different manager, that won the Champions league.....

Outside of that very basic fact, it has to be said that Mourinho, like every other manager on the planet, doesn't always get it right, particularly when it comes to players.

Mata was a world class purchase for United and will be a key player for years to come.

    just to be perfectly clear
i certainly do not want united to fail.
but i am so certain that moyes will never guide the club to success (league / CL titles) that i want him out now ASAP
every day he spends at the club is a waste
and every pound he spends in the transfer market is a waste
so if united need to 'fail' this year, lets hope its a miserable failure and Moyes is quickly replaced
