Well, where'd you get it? :)

    McHugh's malahide road. :-)

€25 for the equivalent of 15 bottles, good value really!

Tell me more. Is it Blacks Kinsale Pale Ale?

It's the black IPA, not the regular IPA. I haven't tried it yet either. I have it put aside for collection next Wednesday :)

Hmm, this is indeed tempting. Do they have many? €25 sounds very cheap indeed.

Might go and get one in Probus tomorrow if they have them left....

They only got 6 in and I got one yesterday so that's at least 2 gone

The Devils Halfacre - aging a DIPA seems counter intuitive, but it's a fantastic beer. As a barley wine it's one of the best I've had, and I try all the barley wines I can! I wonder how many will buy it thinking it's a citrus hop bomb because of the label, ending up with whiskey, plum and sweeeet booze? An oddball, but it might just be the best Irish beer I've had (disclaimer: still haven't had Foam/Fury)

A couple of stone ipa tonight, pretty tasty.

    Might get the ruination tomorrow.

I went to a gig tonight. Had a nice bottle of Dark Arts to set myself up.

Necked a pint of Beamish in less than 2 minutes when I found out the guy with my ticket had finally turned up at the venue. It was still the tastiest drink of the night.

Was disappointed by a bottle of Erdinger.

Made up for it with a pint of Guinness. It was in a plastic glass, but it was still good. And the band were great too!

Ended up in Cassidy's on Westmoreland Street last night. Pleasantly surprised to find they had a decent selection of beers.
Had some Punk, 5am Saint and Metalman.
Also had a couple of Galway Hookers in the Westin.

Went to McHughs, no sign of any minikegs, though I was trying not to look too hard. Got a brick of Westvleteren XV. They also have a nice selection of beers I dont see in the others - Bristol and Wild Beere being two obvious ones.

Yes, they've only produced six bottles of it and two special glasses. Im going to mix them with Lidl lemonade to make shandy.

Picked up the Kinnegar Coconut porter for this evening too

    Galway Brewing Stormy Port.

Roasted, rich tasting Porter and a slightly soft bitter note in there too. I think the main difference between it and Buried At Sea is the smooth creamy texture and deliciousness of Buried At Sea. They both sit well side by side depending on your taste. ;)

I'm drinking that one at the moment. It is very nice! I had no idea how strong it was (8.3%) when I bought it. I may regret it later tonight...

Having a pint of dark arts now, oddly never tried it before, but enjoying it a lot.

One of my favourite pints. I like the bottles too but pints really do it for me

Had a Greene King IPA with dinner. Meh....

It's great, really light for such a dark beer, but packed with flavours, have had 3 in a row now and could have plenty more....

Is it from the cask or keg and how are they pouring it?
I remember I got it in O'Neills on Suffolk street many moons ago and they had it hooked up like Guinness. The barman had an awful time getting it to settle.

Having a Bo Bristle IPA in The Malthouse in Athlone at the minute.

It's a lot better than I remembered it being.

I'd call it an American Pale not an IPA though.

Having a bottle of their amber ale at home at the moment.
Again, like yourself, a lot better than I remembered their stuff. Still a wee bit too malty for my taste but not too bad at all.

I'm enjoying a White Gypsy American Pale Ale with nice Thai food at home.

On keg in mulligans, they rotate beers quite a lot but the dark arts is always on, first time I had it but a perfect pour.
