Modus Hoperandi is beautiful. Cant believe I have a sixpack of these, I could weep with joy

Rosée D'hibiscus - Brasserie Dieu Du Ciel. Interesting beer. Like a super fruity floral Witbier. Nice, but I don't think I'd drink many......as in not more than one! Fantastic colour though, like the inside of a watermelon.

Had a bottle of Bliss by the Wild Beer Co. last night. Like a Belgian blonde, fruity, sour, high carbonation. Nice touch of spices, particularly ginger, but not overpowering. Can taste the sweet richness of the apricots. Solid beer.

Is it that good? I'm considering adding 24 cans for €40 into my order from drinkstore but I haven't had it before and it's also a bit strong for a session beer so I'd be worried about getting that many

Weird, I thought it was a pretty good roasty flavoured porter that I'd drink again given the chance, but nothing coconut-y about it at all. It has that bitterness that I like from the dark malts, but nothing sweet or tropical to work against it.

Now, on the other hand, I feckin love the Long Tongue Pumpkin Ginger Rye.

Every single flavour is well represented.

    Nice beer.

hmmm i thought you could even smell the coconut sweetness off it.

I won't get a chance to try one before putting in my order. If I don't get the full 24 I'll just by 2 or 3 to try

The order for the Chistmas is on its way. Contains the following:

    Shepherd Neame Canterbury Jack
    Schneider Weisse Kristall
    Sierra Nevada Pale
    Anchor Steam
    Blacks Kinsale Pale Ale
    White Gypsy American Pale Ale
    Sierra Nevada Torpedo IPA
    Trouble Brewing Sabotage IPA
    Widmer Brothers Pitch Black IPA
    Widmer Brothers Nelson Imperial IPA
    Kinnegar Scraggy Bay IPA
    BrewDog Libertine Black Ale
    BrewDog Jack Hammer IPA
    BrewDog Hardcore IPA
    BrewDog IPA is Dead

Anything underlined I've had before. The rest are all new to me. Loved the Widmer Brothers Imperial the one and only time I've had it. Looking forward to each and every one!

Let us know if they have much left. Thinking of paying a visit for that exact purpose myself.

They said just to e-mail them with your membership number. Give them a ring if they don't get back to you soon.

Had a dungarvan coffee and oatmeal stout. i liked it but i guess after the breakfast stout i had at the weekend it didnt pack the same punch.

Racer 5......warning revered beer bashing ;)
Very nice and clean beer with pronounced hops, not sure which they are but they wouldnt be my favourite. Id honestly take a oharas ipa over it (which i had last night and enjoyed much more).id nearly compare it as a little brother to odells (prob not a good comparison bit came into my head as i was drinking it)

3rd O'Hara's DIPA in as many nights. When I first had it a couple of months ago, I thought it was meh, ok.

Now I just think it's bordering on being an almost poor beer. You can taste the strong alcohol and there's not anything nice going on.

Oskar Blues Ten Fidy stout, lovely stuff but one will be enough tonight. It really hides the strength.

+1 I have three bottles and I now regret buying them.
It's just too sweet for my liking.

Opened two of these the other day. First one was sweet, alcoholy , not hoppy and pretty awful. I discarded it and opened the other. It was quite different but reminded me too much of the terrible first one. Both bottles were from different shops but had the same bbe. I'd not had it before.

Chinook, Cascade, Centennial, Tomahawk and Amarillo according to a brewer-endorsed clone Im brewing. Personally I love the tropical fruit bouquets of these west coast IPAs, especially when backed by big caramel malts, although they are not to everyones taste.

Anyone who doesnt fancy Racer 5 should steer clear of Modus Hoperandi, they have quite similar hop profiles.

Yeah the guy in my local offo advised me not to buy it, said it was terribly balanced and to stick with the regular O'haras IPA, which was pretty sound of him.
