    Just did Barkley out for Coutinho, couldn't wait as he drops in value tonight and I have exactly enough. Will have a look at getting rid of one of my Southampton defenders after the international break, a Newcastle defender looks most likely.

    Zab out Vlaar in? Or a Newcastle defender

    Use the cash to strengthen the midfield.

    The Aguero, Suarez, Rooney frontline is starting to look very tempting.

    It is but United have Cardiff away and Spurs away as their next two.

    I might spend that couple if weeks moving players round to have the cash to do Lukaku to Rooney without a hit.

    I see the benefit of doing so without a hit, but you also run the risk of Rooney most likely being 0.3-0.4m more expensive then and Lukaku dropping 0.2m-0.3m.

    I can't see either player dropping or rising that much. Rooney only got 4 points today so should stay off the radar another while.

    I want to give Lukaku a while longer anyway. Only have him in one week.

    I'd hold the horses on a Newcastle defender, 2/2 clean sheets but only 1/9 before that.
    Haven't seen the game but Spurs have struggled for chances this year and 14 saves by Krul indicates that they're far from rock solid.

    Would Terry -> Collins (WHU) and Lukaku -> Rooney be a good move for a 4 point hit?

    God, gameweek 12 might be a disaster. My whole team pretty much plays each other. Awkward.

    Instead of Vlaar, you could go with Baker. He's only 3.9m. A Hull defender might also be worth looking at. They're playing home to Palace next.

    Alot of folk will be the same so it may not be the disaster it looks

    I would be inclined to hold on to Terry. Handy fixtures and all that, but Rooney does look attractive(in no other form besides fantasy football)

    He does indeed. I think he'll become a must have. He's already racking up points week after week. How else would/could I get him in without selling Terry??
    I want to hold onto Ozil for another couple of weeks at least because once I sell him there'll be no way I can afford to get him back.

    Think I'll go Sess in for Oscar after reading this:
    A goal from the West Brom midfielder, following on the back of last week’s assist against Palace, hints at a strand of consistency. We’d highlighted Sessegnon in a recent members article to suggest he was a little unlucky with just a single strike in his first five appearances – as our members can attest to, his attacking threat in the box has been particularly impressive since arriving at the Hawthorns. With four home games in the next six (visitors include Villa, Norwich and Hull) and trips to Newcastle and Cardiff, the 6.6 priced midfielder remains a real under-the-radar option, with just a 2% ownership.

    That'll leave me with the cash free to do Lukaku to Rooney if I want. In fact, it'll leave me with a sizeable chunk in the bank as I've 1.2 there and this will free up another 2.3.

    I would be going for Lallana if Saints hasn't such a crap run coming up. Their next two matches are Arsenal and Chelsea away.

    I had Sess took him out for a one week gamble on Townsend will be getting him back in again I think.

    You might just have solved my problem too. if I do Oscar --> Sess I will have enough to do Lukaku --> Rooney and have 0.3 left over. Is this worth a 4 point hit? I myself reckon it just might be................
    A little time left though before anyones price moves
    It would leave me with Suarez, Aguero and Rooney up front.

    I'm not particularly rushed in getting Rooney in. United have Cardiff away next and Everton are home to Liverpool so I don't mind holding Lukaku. Anything could happen in that derby.

    I'm also keeping an eye on Remy.

    Look at this for a stat from BBC:
    Loic Remy's 13th Premier League goal means that since his debut for QPR in January, only Daniel Sturridge, Christian Benteke (both 17), Luis Suarez (16) and Robin van Persie (15) have scored more. Decent company.

    Wittaker falling tonight. Whose the 4 million defender of choice right now?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,785 ✭✭✭Dubliner28

    Love this game so much, this thread is hoping with next game weeks transfers and its still two weeks away

    Happy enough with back four but changes in midfield/forwards are needed

    Morrison(Sub) Ozil Ramsey Mirallas Townsend
    Giroud Sturridge Lukaku

    With the fixtures coming up thinking of taking out misfiring Sturridge(Away Everton/Hulll) for Remy(Home to West Brom/Norwich). Newcastle have got a bit of form back.
    Some of this money will go to replacing Ozil down the line so i can bring in RVP

    Any ideas ??

    I'm going to monitor the price rises closely this time. I have 0.3 to play around with and if after I do the Lukaku --> Rooney transfer I need cash, I'll just sell Ozil.

    Right for those interested in my now scientifically proven kids TV omens. Just before posting the above pledge of allegance to Lukaku I sat down to watch a film with the kids, Ratatouille, in which the main character is called......REMY!!

    I think I'm actually gonna go with it this time.

    Also Lukaku has tough fixtures coming. :)

    Would keep Lukaku until after Everton play Pool and Stoke both at home, then they travel to United/Arsenal but go back to having a decent run. Dont be to hasty. Martinez is playing a nice brand of football with Everton and rest assured unlike previous years Everton wont be playing a 4-6-0 formation in them away games

    barkley, townsend and arnie are all on the chopping block. One of them will go for sessegnon. Other option Im slightly considering is townsend to morrison and lukaku to rooney for a 4 pt hit. This would be done to give me a good capt choice for the next gw have no standout option currently.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,605 ✭✭✭Fizman

    Ok, think I'm set on my triple play. (-4)

    Ozil -> Sess
    Lukaku -> Remy
    Sturridge -> Suarez

    Left with 2.2m in the bank.

    Ben Arfa and Barkley heading out for me. Have 2.5m so can do a decent upgrade on one of them

    Would you really see Rooney away to Cardiff as a standout captain choice? Going to Cardiff ain't easy.

    Not really, but is there any standout capt choices next week? None of the big hitters have straightforward fixtures

    Aye but last time I went against the cartoon I got Michu in instead of Oscar. Feeling like going with the universe on this one.....when my 4 year old daughter was going round pretending to be 'Remy' this morning it was the final straw.... :pac:

    I suppose not really a standout capt choice but a better option then anyone else I have. Suarez plays for uruguay in uruguay at 1 on the thurs morning little over 48 hours before the 1245 kick off away to everton. Aguero at home to a spurs team that havent been conceding much. Ozil would never convince me as a capt choice either. Chances are I wont bother with rooney and may take a risk and captain sessegnon if I go with him.

    Sturridge -> Suarez.
    Ozil -> Sessegnon.

    Frontline of Rooney, Suarez and Aguero.

    Looks tasty.
