With the forthcoming international break delaying next matchday until Nov 23rd, there's potential for price rises on early transfers. Thinking of a change in midfield, maybe Barkley & Brady out for Nasri & Ward prowse.

A juicy 2 free transfers for the first time this season.... Most likely will result in the downgrading of Mig and the replacement of Whittaker

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,600 ✭✭✭roryc

I'm hoping Coutinho starts today, if so I'll probably do Barkley -> Coutinho before their prices change and then leave FF until the 22nd. I have exactly enough for the swap.

    Walcott watch begins

I'm hoping Walcott comes back and takes some of Ramsey's points. Almost out of stubbornness now I'm refusing to get the Welsh wizard in.

Looking at Southamptons next fixtures is not nice viewing, will probably have to take Clyne out next week. Yanga-Mbiwa could be a pick.

Walcott will be coming in for me also. I've backed myself into a corner regarding Ramsey, like you stubbornness has gotten the better of me, I've a smug mate who keeps telling me I'm a fool for ignoring him, I can't give him the satisfaction.

Hoping most of my starters do well so I can just do Barkley to Ward Prowse to free up some funds.

Oscar could be on the chopping block though. If Yaya scores again, he has to come in. Can't sit off on that one any longer.

Have brady, chester and pieters injured at the moment. Hopefully they are all fit by GW12 as I plan on starting all 3. If they are I might bank my transfer.

did it there took a four point hit, toure and Arnie out for Rat and Ramsey

    Team now is:
    Boruc and Harper
Rat Terry Zab Coleman and Chester
Ramsey Ozil Yaya AJ and Ravel
    Suarez Aguero and Lukaku

    Happy enough with that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,605 ✭✭✭Fizman

2 free transfers and currently pretty happy with how my midfield and attack looks, particularly for GW 12. Mignolet is on the chopping block, most likely for Myhill who rotates quite well with Boruc. A tip for those in a similar position! ;)

Sakho will also be going soon, and I'm currently considering getting Vlaar in, as Villas fixtures are good over the coming weeks and he's good value at 4.4m. Those 2 transfers would leave me with around 2.8m in the bank.

oscar can go feck off, waste of time
    gerrard is cheaper, nuff said
think ill drop a soton player
they'll do well to get cleanies from here on in

west brom covered needed here, nice fixtures ahead

    morrison surely

    Hmmmm....

Oscar to Hazard or Barkley to Ravel.

Might get rid of Barkley. He's only going one way.

    Oscar out Hazard in...sideways shuffle...

Just had a look at who I'll be playing next gameweek and Ravel would be a sub because they play Chelsea so I think I'll go with Hazard.

Would you not wait until Rat & Ramsey had played first? They weren't going to increase in price until tonight at the earliest, but could pick up injuries during their games, transfers wasted then!

I know but I had just enough so had to take the risk now, hopefully pays off, if west ham keep CS, Rat could go up tonight

Did mine just there as well, Hazard will rise over the break by i reckon and money was tight.

I've been mad to get hazard in for quite a while now but just can't see how i will fund it.

Not entirely sure what to do. Looking at my midfield..... Jedinak has lost 0.2 in value since I got him in GW3 as bench fodder. I'm guessing I'll have to keep him for the season now.
I could do Brady to Morrison, Oscar to Hazard or Nastasic to Dawson. Oscar to Ya Ya also an option. Don't really know what to do.

Oscar, Sturridge, Lukaku all big disappointments today, I think. I have Oscar and Sturridge.
Getting Sturridge out is my main priority right now. But not sure who to get. I have Aguero and Suarez. Can't get Rooney (few bob short) and can't get Lambert (have reached my Saints quota). Don't want Benteke or Lukaku (at least not right now; both seem out of form). Sold Giroud a couple weeks ago, so it would seem silly buying him back now.

When will the likes of Walcott, Podolski and Oxlade-Chamberlain come back into play for Arsenal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,605 ✭✭✭Fizman

I have 2 FTs and I'm considering making 2, if not 3 changes tonight! Would I be mad before Sunday games / international break?

    Currently I'm looking at:
    Mignolet -> Myhill
    Sakho -> Vlaar
    Sturridge -> Suarez

If I do this today I have 0.5m in the bank. The longer I leave it, that bank gets eaten into due to the Sturridge/Suarez price changes. I hate making early transfers, particularly so many, but very tempted for some reason.

Remy? His fixtures are decent over the next month or two.

I badly need to upgrade Sturridge to Suarez. Only way to do this without taking out some of my best players is doing an Oscar to a 6.8 midfielder.

    Januzi, Morrison, Sessengon....any other suggestions?

Whittaker out at long last, took a while to decide who to get in but went with Ridgewell as fixtures seem decent and he can be good for BP and a goal.

Not firing at the moment but I still think Lukaku is.

This looks like a rough enough set of fixtures on paper with a lot of my players having tough fixtures and/or up against each other:

Ozil, Ramsey v Boruc, Clyne, Ward-Prowse
    Coleman, Lukaku v Mignolet, Suarez
    Aguero v Dawson
I also have Terry and Oscar away to West Ham, plus Brady and Chester home to Palace.

Hoping that Brady and Chester are recovered in 2 weeks, decent chance that Chester comes straight back in if he is fit considering that they shipped 4 goals today.

Possibly a boring Mignolet to Pantilimon transfer, but I'll wait and see what surprises the international break brings.

I think I'll do barkley to sessegnon. WBA have great fixtures the next 6.

    Two free transfers,

But looks like Hazard > Barkley, and Ivanovic > Vlaar can't see any faults?

Also looking at taking a 4 point hit to do McGregor to either harper/ Pantilon. Can't see pants get too many games and would leave me with Boruc, whos fixture list has taken a nose dive!

You sir have impeccable taste. Bringing him in could give me another week to wait on Walcott and decide on who my heavy hitting midfielders will be alongside.

I was aware of the pattern you so kindly posted. :)

However, compare what their opponents are on each of those weeks and I'm pretty confident that EVERY week one of the two faces weak opposition. I think I recall seeing that neither play 2 top 6 teams in the same week throughout the whole season.

    Boruc: Arsenal.........Chelsea.... ASTON VILLA, MAN CITY..Newcastle, SPURS.., Cardiff,...Everton, ....CHELSEA....WEST BROM...Sunderland...Arsenal
    Myhill: ASTONVILLA...Newcastle..MAN CITY, ....NORWICH...Cardiff, .....HULL, ...Spurs....West Ham...NEWCASTLE..Southampton..EVERTON....Astonvilla

Out of interest.....who would you recommend instead? (I'm likely to make my transfers tomorrow so if you sell me an idea, I might go with it!)

Looking at the exact same problem myhill is a good shout, Pantimilon and Harper rotate well too for a few weeks but Myhill will work up until wildcard mmm. Toss up between harper/ Myhill for me

Isn't McGregor returning soon? Assuming he is, I'd imagine it wouldn't be long before he's reinstated in the first team.

Having taken another look I'm leaning towards keeping the faith with Mignolet. After Everton away they have Hull A, Norwich H, West Ham H, Spurs A, Cardiff H. Spurs and Everton haven't been free scoring by any means, and the other 4 fixtures are very favourable.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,962 ✭✭✭Hogey007

pretty sure barkley out will be my transfer, i didn't mind too much when he didn't start last week as i thought maybe he was due a rest, but not starting again yesterday combined with everton's next 4 fixtures, Liverpool (h), a nice one then at home to stoke before united and arsenal away.

I would only play him in the stoke match and even then he might come on for a 1 pointer.

not sure who to bring in, sessengnon is a good shout but i only have 6.1 to spend, i'd ideally like brady back, especially as next up is palace away, might just bring morrison back in either, he's started every game since i sold him 8 gw's ago and has scored a few too. with brady i'd have to wait for team news and probably lose money on brady, morrison i could pull the trigger on a lot sooner and just hope he doesn't get injured before then?

Great busts, just great. Was thinking cabaye, but the more I look at sess the more I like it

sturridge to who for 9m max?

between benteke, lukaku, remy i'm thinking. benteke not playing great now but could still have notched a couple in recent games plus wba(a), sunderland(h), soton(a), fulham (a) in the next 4. Two tough away games there but chance to turn his form around i'd think. Lukaku's fixtures get really tough so i can see his price dropping a bit in coming weeks. Might go back for him in a month or so even though he's more than capable of scoring against the big sides. Decent fixtures for Remy after today. Lambert's suddenly get alot tougher.

    Not sure what to do?

Right for those interested in my now scientifically proven kids TV omens. Just before posting the above pledge of allegance to Lukaku I sat down to watch a film with the kids, Ratatouille, in which the main character is called......REMY!!

I think I'm actually gonna go with it this time.

Also Lukaku has tough fixtures coming. :)

Will wait and see how today's games go. I'm not sure about Hazard after seeing the Chelsea game. They created little and looked poor in general.

He got a jammy assist through Ridgewell's error and then a penalty that never should have been a penalty.

Lallana and Sessegnon looked alot better than anyone from Chelsea. Countinho also looked decent enough.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,881 ✭✭✭bohsman

Will be getting mirallas out, not sure who to get in, have hazard, ozil, januzay and Brady. Am another too stubborn to get Ramsey in as don't want to double up on arsenal midfield but looks the best option. Could downgrade to ravel till a better option comes along.

I know what you mean, even when they do play well everthing seems so 'spread out' amongst the players both fantasy points and stats. Chelsea mid + attack just seems so muddled to me( who are key players? Mata was clear last year), hard to know who to pick, and even more difficult to spot value for money.
