Need to get Suarez and/or Aguero pronto it seems. Probably means Ozil -> Morrison or the likes if I'm to do it.

Midfielders (Ramsey aside) are simply not doing the business this year :(

Three transfers done. I haven't paid much attention to FF over the past month so I've had a pretty bad few weeks. Couldn't even field a full 11 this weekend!

Silva OUT, Hazard IN - Two weeks ago I was trying to decide between this two. I went with Silva. Silva got injured and Hazard scored two. Feck.

Michu OUT, Ramsey IN - Joining the bandwagon!

Lukaku OUT, Remy IN - Bit of a gamble, but Newcastle have a decent upcoming run while Everton has a tough few games..

-4 hit but still not happy.. May be more to come

    Mignolet
    Vidic / Dawson / Nastasic / Coleman
    Ozil / Ramsey / Hazard
    Sturridge / Remy / Giroud

    Gazzaniga / Januzaj / Morrisson / Clyne

Since Debuchy is suspended, is Coloccini likely to be played?

    Brought Coutinho in for Oscar
    And Ridgewell for Reid

4 point hit had a **** week last week just hit average pretty much.

I would have thought Coloccini is 1st choice so he'd play regardless

He hasn't played in their last 4 games in the PL, but I'm just reading how he's getting over a groin strain and they were hoping to have him back for the weekend. Sounds like he'll be back for the next game.

Got sick of thinking about transfers and did Barkley to Morrisson last night, simply because that's the transfer that I think will preserve the most value for my team. Barkley is going to fall and I can see Morrison going up 0.2 at least.

    Team now is:

    Mignolet Harper
    Terry Zabaleta Coleman Clyne Shaw
    Ramsey Ozil Brady Oscar Morrisson
    Lukaku Suarez Aguero

Next transfer will more than likely be Oscar out if he doesn't provide some returns against West Ham. I know alot of people are going for Hazard but he got a very jammy goal and assist on Saturday. Chelsea were poor in general and but for Barkley needing to go asap Oscar would be gone.

He gets a stay of execution but I'll be keeping an eye on Nasri, Countinho, Sess and Lallana. Lallana is one I think could offer value even though Saints have a tough run. He reminds me of Adam at Blackpool a few years back - at the centre of everything for his team.

Similar to myself but I know which team I'd prefer.

    Mignolet Daniels
    Coleman Clyne Fonte Collins Rangel
    Ozil Brady Oscar Januzaj Amalifitano
    Lukaku Suarez Aguero

I'm the same with Oscar, he's well worth another chance vs Hazard however I do have a concern that Chelsea aren't doing the business at the scoring end so the likes of Silva, Nasri, Coutinho are being watched closely.

I have 2.8 mill in the bank to invest in defense or midfield.
They need a bit of work but it's been needs must these past few weeks.

For some strange reason I haven't had the urge to do any transfers yet...
Tempted to cash in now on Januzaj: 1 game, 5 points and 0.3 mill profit is as much as I wanted.
Bacuna catching my eye as a potential price risers but I think I need to get away for that and start shaping up for December. There may be merit in him outside of price rises but I haven't seen enough of him to be sure.

I'm edging towards keeping 2 expensive, 3 low cost midfielders and investing into the back 7.

Wasn't going debating for the next two weeks whether or not to bring in Rooney so just did it there. Oscar and Lukaku out for Sess and Rooney. Morrison is going to have to wait a while now and he'll be gone up another 0.3 but I'm not taking a minus 8 to get in a sub.

Lukaku has a selling price of 7.7, Remy has a buying price of 7.7, nothing in the bank

I'm so reluctant to make this transfer as I'd need 2 to get Lukaku back in (8.1 currently. But if I don't do it today, Remy will go up to 7.8 and I won't be able to do it anyway.

    I'm torn. Help me.

Lukaku's a better long term option, and I wouldn't be put off by the upcoming derby; Liverpool haven't kept an awful lot of clean sheets this year.

Was gonna sell Sturridge but after looking at options for next few weeks i think i will just absorb the drop (can only lose .1 over whole International break at this point). Liverpool have Hull, then Norwich and West Ham at home in the next 4 games. Just seems selling for selling sake to let Sturridge go. Leaves me with Rooney/Suarez as well.

Was gonna sell Townsend then but after watching highlights he should have had 3 assists but the lads on the end of passes couldnt get past Krul on the day, on another day he gets 9/10 pts so will look elsewhere.

Gonna leave it 10 days i think, injuries and domino effect from injuries to players i dont have will end up making my decision i reckon.

I'm holding on to Lukaku, I rate him so highly.

Doing the same myself. Remy is highly appealing for the next few weeks but I have far more pressing issues with my midfield.

Done. Keeping Lukaku and my transfer.

I had fully intended to keep him long term too, and i think the problem is more with Everton and how the midfield has been set up without Barkley, than him, but have gone for Remy up till Xmas and likely to get Lukaku back in, prob after he's fallen in price a bit too. Could be silly, time will tell.

He may score in the derby or indeed in any of the tough run Everton have but can't see him hitting big numbers regularly for a while.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,600 ✭✭✭roryc

If he can score a hat-trick against United he can score big against anyone.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,070 ✭✭✭✭PARlance

Lukaku isn't going anywhere, he's just the type to ram home a brace against Liverpool.

I don't see Suarez Aguero Rooney trio keeping up the same pace as recent weeks. I can see myself rotating between them for 2 spots.
Benteke might swap in and out for Lukaku.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,305 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Prodston

I took Lukaku out for Aguero before the Norwich game, which worked out quite nicely. Leaving me with Suarez, Rooney and Aguero. That's probably not going to be sustainable in the long run and Lukaku and/or Benteke (if he picks up form again) could indeed come in again at some point.

I've been saying though that until a couple of the costlier midfielders really put their hands up for selection I don't need to sacrifice my expensive forwards for them.

Quit will ya. The transfer guilt is nibbling at me already. Can't a man rationalise a wee bit.... :)

@ Mr P, that's the dream forward line, thought about going for it but hadn't the cash. I'd take that ahead of the oscars, hazards, ozils of this world for the moment for sure.

The dream forward line would be Aguero-RVP-Suarez. Probably impossible without creating problems in midfield and defence.

    Coleman Lovren Terry Dawson Zabaleta

    Morrison Lallana Barkley Ramsey Brady

    van Persie Suárez Agüero

I could do this if I did Giroud - Van Persie and Ozil to Barkley and still have 0.3 in the bank

    Midfield is kinda weak though

The Spurs stats are fairly extraordinary

    * Tottenham have taken 15 more shots than any other PL side this season but only Sunderland and Palace have scored fewer goals.
    * Andros Townsend has scored just once from 45 shots this season; that one goal was scored with (by his own admission) an attempted cross.
    * Christian Eriksen was credited with a massive nine key passes v Newcastle on Sunday.

Krul had the game of his life on Sunday, they should have and deserved to score at least three goals. I'm going to stick with Townsend as long as he's in the team because his price is good and the potential for points is there but their goals scored record makes it very hard to have any confidence in their other attacking players. I've had decent returns from Verthongen recently but with his big price tag he's likely to be sacrificed this week to get Suarez or Walcott in after the break.

I'd agree that the midfield is quite weak but there's potential for big scores in all of them once they are playing. Barkley needs to and will surely become a staple for Everton but there are doubts about him at the moment. Who's your sub goalie?
    That's a fantastic team IMO

Krul had the game of his life on Sunday

Great upcoming fixtures too, yet only 19% to his first rise, bizarre no?

That sort of performance and points return from a 5mil defender or midfielder and he'd have risen twice by now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,785 ✭✭✭Dubliner28

    Team at the min

    Coleman Ivano McAuley
    Ozil Ramsey Mirallas Townsend
    Giroud Sturridge Lukaku

Sturridge out > Remy in for me next week / Ramsey Captain

Fourteen of Newcastle's 15 PL goals this season have been scored by Frenchman. An Englishman has not scored a league goal for Newcastle in 2013

Em...Paul Dummett v Liverpool?? He's from Newcastle, born and raised. I bet they're counting the fact that he's played u-21's for Wales but that doesn't change anything, he's an Englishman and is eligible to play for England unless he gets a full cap with Wales.

Trasnfered Sturridge for Suarez possibly in haste the other day.

Just looking at the fixtures now though - Arsenal V Southampton. I have 6 players between them. Mess. Might take a hit to spread my bets a bit.
