Still won't cause us to do anything about it. The only time we'll see civil unrest again in Ireland is if they increase the drinking age to 21. I guarantee!

I think they started off as Earnest and Young, then due to their activities they changed their name ernst & young due to embarrassment.

As Drummer would say, they probably picked the name out of their ar$e. :D

And another thing....... some of you complain about no growth industries in Ireland....... evidently you wans have never heard of immigration, depression and suicide....... see, it's not as bad as some of you make out.

Oh........ ans banksterism...... I forgot about that one.

i wonder what sort of consequences all this could have - realistically - for those involved, what sort of maximum penalties - if any - would be possible in today’s legal system in ireland...if, and that’s a big if, all legal means were exhausted to the max and everything proven beyond a doubt...
jail? for how long? what else? could it be (high) treason etc....?

any legal experts around to enlighten me?

on a less realistic note i’d suggest treating them as king edward treated william wallace in august 1305...

They acted in the interest of the bank but the government should have protected themselves and the Irish people from this fraud. There was always the possibility that the bailout could balloon and Anglo failing would have minimal impact to the average citizen.

Well, just look at the numbers of sheeple in Ireland who participate in 'Arthur Guinness Day' - a manufactured marketing op by a major corporation.

And yet we don't riot at the spectacle of two sociopaths laughing at bankrupting the country.

Something very wrong in this country. Moral apathy on a monumental scale.

Many people are probably too busy digging daggers into their neighbours backs for little things like perhaps:
    - burning trash in their back yard
    - driving around with car tax out of date for a week
    - having a small cash in hand job once in a while to boost up dole
    - going for pint or a cold drink on dole day;

to even care what's happening from the top establishment here in this country.

The littler people are much easier to hang.

Just listened to the tapes. I would love to get my hands on those pr1cks (especially that w4nker Drumm) and hammer the **** out of them. I would be willing to do time for it as well (I'm not a violent person but this makes my blood boil). To think of all those who are struggling in this country and it's those cnuts who were a huge contributing factor to this mess.
Those who were in the govt at that are also complicit in this mess
    :mad::mad::mad:

Ok folks there is a protest organised for Thursday at 1pm outside Dail Eireann. It will be my first time attending one so dont know really what to expect but looking forward to it as I am sick to my stomach of whats going on in the country. Hope to see some of yous there, make your voice heard!!!!

Like everyone else I feel sick listening to those tapes and even more ill when I think of the response of the politicians who bailed them out and paid them handsomely. I think that an Oireachtas inquiry would be a waste of time and public money. Leave it the Garda Fraud squad and the Office of Corporate Enforcement. I would however, like to see the Government introduce emergency legislation to remove the passports of all those implicated. That might stop they prancing around the world and force them to stay and face the consequences. I am sure Mr Drumm and his wife would not be allowed to remain in the USA without a valid passport.

Is he not a citizen of the US? Been honest, chances of him coming back to Ireland are zero, chaps a crook not a moron.

Damage is done, we are paying the bill this won't change. These lads ending up in jail won't happen either, instead we will jail people for no TV license. What makes me go nuts is the fact that they are pissing themselves laughing even more now that the tapes are out.

Let's face it if a rapist in Ireland get's 5/6 years , what's the chances of this shower getting any time. Justice system is flawed in Ireland.

Twitter hashtag would be handy. Something like #ProtestForIreland or if anybody can suggest another. Never been at one of these but I'll be in attendance on Thursday. It's time to act now. We can't stand by and do nothing.

These tapes are probably the best thing to happen Fianna Fáil in the last 5 years. They're already top of the polls. This will cement their position meaning they could well be elected in to government in the next election.

Regardless of how angry I am at Anglo I wouldn't be caught dead with a communist like Joe Higgins.

You would be with a large number of people not just one person you are afraid of or don't like. I'm not fond of him or Boyd Barett but I wouldn't not show my anger towards these gangsters by not turning up becuase of one or two muppets in the parade.

What about the genuine people who actually have to work and are not a drain on society at the moment?

Well if they had any sense they would find them to protest against the people who are a drain on society. Namely these two muppets in the recordings.

Our Tee Shirt is now denying that he knew anything about the Angelo tapes, that when he went to his room at the G8 summit in Fermanagh he had not known Mrs Merkel was lying waiting for him in the suggestive pose she placed herself in, never mind the fact that the Chinese had planted recording devices. It would appear that this here temporary Angelo Irish union is one where may all be in it together as far as having been ****ed by Angelo...... there may even be a common bond between Seany Quinn and the Tee Shirt, both of them maybe signing off as '****ed in Fermanagh (by Angelo)'.

'With regards to the compromising 'position' some consider him to have placed himself in, the Tee Shirt has stated 'look, I'm a simple wee country boy, I know nothing of such things, whereas Mrs M hails from Germany, which if you don't mind me saying, is a very liberated country where they even go as far missionary positions and that sort of thing.'

'Positions' are something I don't know much about.......... my expertise is more in the sleight of hand job area.'

He went on to say, 'Ok, I may have misunderstood when Mrs M, in speaking softly in her harsh German accent, mentioned bail out, and I was left standing sheepishly with my left testicle in my hand....... unfortunately the interpreters had finished for the day and anyway, this was private time in the privacy of my room'.

'As such I feel the position I was in for a fleeting 40 minutes did not compromise either myself or Ireland.'

'In fact I would go as far as stating that that, aside from that diplomatic 40 minutes in Fermanagh, many people are not even aware that I have balls... or even a single one.'

The organisers of the protest have changed the location to the GPO now.

I will do that on Twitter now thanks alot, any other ideas how to get as much coverage as possible for this?

It has nothing to do with having balls, people just don't want to be associated with that sort of crowd.

Can you tell me how it takes balls to give over some hard earned cash to a union every month for them to tell you how to think, and then go for a dander every so often when they feel the need to promote themselves?

Protests in Ireland have long been about ego. Too many superfluous "protests" where a load of sh!t was peddled by those sorts.

If the Irish Farmers Association, the orange order and IBEC dragged Seanie Fitz into your garden for a public dressing down you'd still find an excuse to draw the curtains and turn up the telly.

The unions , the students or any other assorted bearded lefties didn't turn you into a pussy. Truth is that most people in this country have no spine when it comes to sticking their head over the parapet.

By the way guys we don't want to p1ss off Bowe and Fitzgerald. According to many people in the financial sector they're exactly the type of high performance guys we need to keep paying huge salaries to or they'll take their talent elsewhere.

I know what you say is true, we will never see them face justice in any form but it's nice to dream. Must check out Drumm's citizenship, sure with Inda and O'Bama being great mates maybe he could have a word and get him deported :D
