Well I always wanted to get a Hurricane SR47 kit, but they aren't available new anymore:(
You can buy a complete AEG from Japan, but at €883 plus shipping plus customs, etc, etc would come too a princely sum of over €1200.:eek:
Anyway I picked a rough one 2nd hand:D
Now I have scrapped everything but the main receiver and hop unit, and this is the end result for now;
Now the receiver has nice markings, but needs a bit of touching up!
This is basically an M4 which uses AK mags.
Hurricane receiver and hop unit.
Magpul medium handguard. (might change too a 9" RIS)
Avalon outer barrel and sight post.
Standard pistol grip.
VFC KAC silencer.
Madbull 6.01tbb + blue hop rubber and nub.
Systema magnum motor.
G&P 600m rear sight.
G&P battery stock tube and crane stock (for now)
Full systema gearbox. (Apart from KA rear vented cylinder)
Madbull blue spring (trimmed down)
Piston modded and AOE sorted
Firing at 320fps on .2s0 -
Package just arrived from UKMCPRO:)
Already pictures of one of these up, but this one is all mine:D
Will test it when I get home in the morning:)

Updated the Hurricane SR47 with a Knights URX II Medium ad a standard LE type stock.
And as I couldn't wait for the TAF silencer to come back in stock for the Kriss Vector I got an adapter from Lees Precision Parts in the UK:).

Puts out about 35 BB's a second on a 9.6V NiMH battery when I allow the mosfet to set it to max. Have it set at 20/sec at the moment.

A custom build that im working on. gonna be a Vltor/Troy build. still need the troy grip vltor receiver and vltor stock. still messing around with internals but right now its shooting at 27bps on a 9.6 with 16:1 gears and a g&p m120. its only 4 months in so still a bit to go yet.

Here's my baby, started life as a sentry, now running 13:1 SHS gears, systema piston, Burst wizard mosfet. G&G rubber, black python barrel. Gets around 22 bb/s on 7.4v 15c. Externals are 14.5inch G&P aluminium outer barrel. 9.5inch mk18 rail and clone moe stock.

New trigger block and wiring, connected to deans.
SHS piston that has been short stroked by two teeth.
Sector gear has also been short stroked.
AOE adjusted with piston head spacer.

Mbus sights.
Pmags that have been filed down to fit.
Aimpoint comp m2.
Magpul xtm rail covers.
Magpul RVG.
I still want to change a few bits externally as I am not 100% happy with it (yet)
Fps is 319-325 with .2's.
On a 7.4v 2000mah 20c lipo is getting about 24 bb's per second and a very good trigger response.
Its has tremendous range with .23's
All work was done by Carl (Rooky) and I am extremely happy with

So I was thinking of buying a tactical light for the P226, it's very handy for clearing out dark basements & so on. Then I found out that most tactical torches are made with a 1 inch body... as are rifle scopes.
That's handy, I thought. And I remembered that I had a pair of scope mounts sitting in the parts box. And with the addition of a 9-LED torch from Tesco (it's hardly recoil-rated, but then this is airsoft), hey presto...
Not a bad solution for eight euro. Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.0 -

Well I finally decided to upgrade from an Xcortech Chrono to one of the Shooting Chrono scanning ones.
Now this is a nice bit of kit but not cheap!
Fitted with the cloud simulators;-)
I just had to go the whole hog and get the printer as well. This printer can also be used as a remote for the unit.
Recently I have been questioned about an AEG I built for someone that is apparantly over what it should be. It was firing within the limit on my Xcortech, so I decided to do a little comparison between the two chronos to see how much difference there is.
Tested on the same day on both chronos at the same time. The hop was set on my LR300 for .2 bbs. (so with the hop off the fps would be a little higher)
Now there isn't much variance there at all. I'll be honest I was surprised at how close the Xcortech was to the ShootingChrono.
Here is the printout of the LR300's results over a ten shot string. Not much variance at all:)
Very pleased with the new Chrono, only downside is it takes a couple of minutes to set up. That and I know need a tripod!!0 -
FINALLY finished my VLTOR M4 Build.
Started as a SRC M4 Micro And now turned into the beast pictured below
I used the original SRC Gearbox Shell and left a few parts intact in the gearbox but replaced with
New sector gear
New Sector chip
New Piston head,
Re-greased and re-shimmed
with a new air nozzle and hop-up rubber just to top it all off
Externals include ;
G&P VLTOR Upper and Lower Recievers
G&P 16.5 " Outer Barrel with a new internal barrel flush with the end of outer.
A comfy New pistol grip
New G&P Motor
New LMT Crane Stock and Stock tube
New 4x40 Swiss Arms Scope
New genuine Magpul MBUS sights (only front sight shown in photo)
New standard straight foregrip
( Another ) New Blackwater Bipod
Classic Army M203 Long grenade launcher
All resting on a LaRue Tactical Front Rail.
With a Spartan 12" Silencer to add a bit of length :rolleyes:
Firing 324fps With a 9.6 Intellect Numchuck Battery using .2g bb's
Firing around 20 bb's p/second
So after all that, a few months of getting bits and bobs together, with several run-ins with a specific irish retailer -.- ,
(Not saying who) , i come out with my finished VLTOR M4
( Could be classed as a DMR w/o the grenade launcher and by adding a bit of camo tape )

Hey lads pretty new to this but I'm getting up to speed. Your all a fairly sound bunch of lads here

Anyway this is my Classic Army G3 FS3 SG1, bought off whydave a number of months ago, thank you by the way.
I wanted to develop a DMR type G3, so as it sits now it has the following;
PSG-1 madbull 6.03 inner (590mm).
J&J 3-9x50 scope (waiting on a 3" sunshade).
Proper claw type scope mount.
King Arms 210mm silencer.
Looking at my options for internals but so far its standard, just well greased, shimmed and reliable so far
