I think it happened after Christmas, when everyone had drank away their memory of the increase imposed in the budget that they had been absorbing up to that point. I remember thinking when that was announced that it would result in an increase in the likes of this, more a question of when than if.

I've mentioned it before but O'Sheas Irish Pale Ale in Aldi is delicious and at 5 for €9.25 (€1.85 each) is a much better deal than the Tesco offer. It's made by Carlow Brewing Company who make the O'Hara's pale ale that's in the Tesco deal, or used to be.

This deal was back in Tesco in Athlone today (i.e. 5 for €10, not 4 for €9 or 5 for €11). Probably not as big a stock as there was in its heyday, but decent enough.

It's only of those things they could never honour availability of in-stores..

.. last time there was a "world beer" on offer at €1 a bottle, one customer cleared out my local Tesco.

Will check my local at lunch, but not holding out hope.

Was just in Tesco Coonagh Cross in limerick and they had 5 for €10. They had Proper Job and it was part of the offer (well the SEL was yellow) I got the last bottle of tiger and the SEL was white so I chanced it and it went through as part of the offer. All out of Paulaner though.

Both, hopefully it was just bad timing on my part and it was simply because they were switching from 4 for €9 to 5 for €10

Offer definitely still on in Tesco Naas, (The small one) anyway.

Was in htere today around 2-3pm loads of bottles left, proper job, Ashai, Etc etc.
